I'm using one of these with a low-profile 32GB thumb drive as a cheap, dedicated ReadyBoost drive on an older Windows 10 laptop. Installation is like any other PCIE Mini device. To get it to fit into a half-sized slot, just snap the legs off at the perforations, no tools required. The system recognized it automatically.For some reason, it has a blue USB 3 plug despite being 2.0, but since the listing specifies the older standard, I don't feel at all cheated.
