Everyone complaining about “poor connector orientation” needs to stop complaining, they should have gotten a card that has the connector in the location they desired instead of complaining in the reviews (No one forced them to buy this specific card). The connector location on this card was perfect for me and that’s why I got this specific product. The quality is great and it successfully got my front panel usbc working. The device is plug and play and required 0 drivers! Also, the extra usb is a bonus. Would definitely recommend!

My motherboard doesn’t have a usb c header. My case does. I’d been using adapters to make the C ports 5Gbps (USB Gen 3.2) and the A ones 480Mbps (USB 2), but decided I wanted faster A ports. So I moved the C port to this adapter, and the A ports back to the USB 3 header they go to. Worked flawlessly!

Using this with an ASUS Maximus Hero VIII and an NZXT 510 Elite case. The front panel has both a USB type A port which my board has a header connection for, and a type C port, which until now had to sit unused. This card was super easy to install if you're familiar with add-in cards. It would be nice if the connector was angled instead of being 90 degrees, but I had more than enough cable length to accommodate it. The card itself says it's 2x speed, so I set that in the BIOS and it was detected by Windows with no fuss. Not sure what the actual speed limit is, but I happily copied files at 400mb/s from an SSD plugged into it. Happy that the port is now useable.

Due to the the front panel connector orientation on this card, I had to purchase an adapter to make the connection aim to the front of the case instead of the bottom which left me with no room to plug in the cable to the front panel without the adapter. See https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08YJFQCMQ and choose model "PH74B" if you run into this issue. Do not purchase PH74A like I did the first time!I purchased this because my Asus Tuf Gaming B550 board didn't have this connector. I am getting good results with 900-1000 MB/s transfer speeds to my external Samsung 970 EVO plus in a Sabrent NVMe enclosure model EC-SNVE (Highly recommend this for 10gbps NVMe enclosures due to excellent design. 20gbps enclosures would be better, but this USB-C card does not support 20gbps).

It works, but the front panel connector is perpendicular to the board. It cannot then beounted in the final 1x pcie connector in most modern cases. There is not room to route the front panel cable to the connector.

Works pretty well. Keep in mind that you need either a PCI-E x2, a x4 or a x16 for it to work. Most motherboards have plenty of PCI-E x1 but not so many of the other kinds.
