About this item

  • Do not return your "defective" red dot that can't adjust the illuminated dot high enough to zero. This optic shim solves the problem by raising the red dot higher to zero. Optic Shim is made to fit between the red dot and the mounting plate. Position the thicker side toward the end to lower the dot. Position the thicker side toward the front to raise the dot.
  • Fits: Trijicon RMR/SRO, Ade Advanced Optics, RD3-019, RD3-020, RD3-023, Holosun HS407C/HS507C/HS507T and
  • Also fits Riton X3 Tactix PRD, ADE RD3-011, Swampox Kingslayer/Liberty/Justice. The shim might need to be trimmed to the shape to match some of red dot brand mentioned above.
  • What it does? While zeroing the red dot sight, some users turned the elevation screw all the way to the end that can no longer turn(screw maxed-out), the location of the illuminated dot is still TOO HIGH, user is UNABLE to adjust the dot LOW enough to zero. Instead of returning the "defective" red dot, this shim will rise the optic to help user to move the illuminated dot higher to the location to zero. Scope base shims Tolerance +/-.005 Taper 1.0 degree.
  • Depending on the handgun, some handguns need THIS 1degree shim to give extra range of elevation across a wide range of firearms (such as the 1911). Should you feel any resistance from the mechanism whilst zeroing the elevation please fit the shim between the sight and the mount with the thickest part at the rear.


Position the thicker side toward the end to lower the dot. Position the thicker side toward the front to raise the dot.

The add shows this fits a 407cThere is no way to modify the shim withoutA hole showing on the outside of the sight.Doesn't fit any of thr holosuns I have.What a piece of junk. Total waste of time and money.When u read the fine print it says you may have to trim.You would also need to drill holes as nothing lines up. I'm capable of doing this but I'm not going to waste my time with that.Update 1 /10/ 25After contacting the manufacturer I was educated I have a 407k not a 407c as I previously thought I've ordered the one they recommended and it fit perfect with a slight trim as was indicated. Although the company didn't take the product back they did respond promptly and helped me get what was needed. I've changed my rating from 1 to 4 as this is very confusing with so many models and footprints of sights.

It does not really matter to me whether this thing works or solves your problem, my issue is the highway robbery that is the price. This is a thin piece of plastic with a slight taper towards one end. I cannot believe they think charging this kind of price is not absolutely just gouging people. This product has prompted me to buy a 3d printer because this is just ridiculous.

I bought this because my Swampfox RDS sits a bit low in the PSA Dagger I wanted to mount it on. According to the description this ship is made to fit, but like another buyer mentioned it actually has to be trimmed to fit the cutout. It sort of defeats the purpose of paying for a factory made shim when I had fashioned my own which did pretty much the same thing. In case you're wondering, I had to remove from each side just about along the centerline of the hole patterns, which was actually quite a bit. At least the one degree angle was what I needed to correct the elevation, so I'll keep it.Sure would be nice if manufacturers would get together and standardize these things; between mounts and finding the correct screws it's enough to drive one to stop drinking! (for a few minutes, that is)

Works great for my Holosun 507. I needed to get longer screws. Bear in mind, you can get this product free from ADE on their website.

Was unable to zero a red dot scope down low enough with the elevation adjustments. This off sets the angel lifting the rear of the sight to bring the dot downward. Works great! Installs in seconds. Solved my issue.

Glad i found this item. Love my Holosun 507c, but not enough adjustment on my XDM Elite OSP. Installed and now have the zero that i need. I still need to get new mounting screws to accommodate the height, but other than that, ever bit a 5 star product.
