It works ok for the linker rod. Be careful or you can pinch yourself when pressing down on the buttons. Seems functional for now.

The bipod is just what I needed. The thumb release locking system makes leveling this bad boy super easy.I work alone and this just made my life much easier.

I bought this bi-pod so I could do surveying work on my own. It is much more rugged than I need. Not complaining. It came with serious, heavy duty, spikes to replace the rubber feet, if desired (photo). The bi-pod itself is beefy. The thread on the clamp is huge. And, it came with a carrying bag. The bag is big enough to hold the Johnson tm grade rod I purchased, (sideways photo), but not quite long enough. Not complaining. I will use it as is. A little spendy but worth it.

This product works perfectly if you're out by yourself and need to use a level or transit to shoot some elevation. Just set it up, level it, and you're good to go. The extendable legs make it easy to setup anywhere and make sure you get it perfectly level.

Works fine as a "third hand". For surveying, it would be nicer to have tenths of a foot rather than inches.
