My miter saw is mounted to a long workbench, and after adjusting the roller to the correct height, I can easily move this roller back and forth on the workbench to support lumber that I am cutting. de KØUNX, Jim, in Jefferson County, Colorado.

This adjustable cutting support is definitely functional and serves it's purpose. The roller bar is nice and helps to easily feed your material through your cutting machined. I've used it with lumber and my miter saw, and metal tubing with my horizontal band saw and it really helps make it easy for a 1 person job.There are a few limitations to the design of this support system though which could be improved. First is that your limited on the width of material this can be used with; it works with material up to ~8" wide so you can't used this to help feed something like a 2X12 through your miter saw. My second complaint is that it requires using an allen wrench to adjust and lock the height of the support bar in place. I immediately swapped the provided screws out for the bar mounts and switched them to screws with molded on plastic hand knobs for a tool free adjustment upgrade. Lastly, the base has very little weight to it and is top-heavy with the roller up high. Thankfully they included mounting holes in the base plate to secure it to a workbench or in my case a scrap board to increase its stability.

I got this since I have a small workshop and needed something to help hold materials when I'm cutting, sanding, etc. The roller works great and is easy to assemble. It is a bit light so I would recommend mounting it on something. The height is adjustable although the height difference isn't huge.
