Very cost effective tool for boring an occasional hinge set. I have a Blum Hinge Boring Machine and obviously that machine produces a far superior hinge set. BUT, the Blum also costs a 100 times more and should be superior. Where this tool comes into play for me is off site.I have used it more than a few times over the last three months and it gets the job done without me having to come back to the shop, AKA a huge time savings. Once you get a grip on how to use the tool, it is easy to use and actually fairly accurate.A must have for anyone fiddling around with some new doors or making occasional repairs.Highly Recommended.

I have another jig that is more complex, expensive, and time consuming to set up. I like this jig better for the following reasons: 1) Simple to setup, 2) infinitely adjustable offset, 3) Easy to use, 4) Secure double clamp system, 5) Inexpensive.Once adjusted for offset and depth, just align the pointer on your center mark, clamp, and drill. Very quick and precise, great value, recommended.

Making ""simple"" cabinets for the garage. Yes, have learned A LOT!!!I'm using pine, so this works great for a soft wood like that, I have to say it works like a charm for the standard cabinet door hinges. It's adjustable for all dimensions. I just used it again tonight for the second set of doors. Worked great!

We used this kit to drill for hinges on over 20 melamine doors. The jig was easy to adjust and use. The forstner style bit worked very well and cut as cleanly on the last hole as it did on the first hole. A great value for the price.

This has lots of adjustments, so it takes a second to get dialed in. It would be nice if there was a built-in depth stop, I assume most concealed hinges are all the same size (I set the stop with a tape measure). The included bit is nice and sharp, and everything worked fine the first time.I look forward to building new cabinets this summer.

I do not recommend this product due to missing parts.

We are looking to update our kitchen cabinets and I was thinking of trying to use the new pocket hinges, instead of the normal ones, for a cleaner look. I saw this jig and decided to try it out.It came with no instructions at all. I haven't used one of these before so I took off 1 star for that. There are some instructions in the write-up, but I will have to print them off to use them in the shop. It doesn't look too much different from a pocket hole jig so I should be able to figure it out.The Forstner bit it comes with is nice - it has 3 blades instead of 2 like most of the cheaper ones. I hope to be making some cabinets soon, but got side-tracked having to repair my deck. The pieces are well made and very adjustable so

This type of hinge is what you want if you're serious about building some high quality cabinets, and this jig is what you need to align the right holes every single time. It's impossible to install these hinges without precise drilling and this lets you adjust and get it just right for whatever model you have. High quality aluminum. Very smooth, powder coated. I think this thing was made to last for decades of use. Includes drill bit and some replacement parts too
