It is durable and stable, maneuverable but pretty slow on water. I’ve taken it into busy waters on Lake Hopatcong in NJ. Lots of wakes, rolling waters and that was fun. My problem is how long it takes to inflate manually. I purchased the air pump that advanced elements makes and while that is good, it makes my life hard when I’m out in the sun, spending 10 minutes working my butt off to inflate the boat. It is also as heavy as a regular kayak, I recommend a kayak cart. It will not fit in the duffle bag. I stored it in my shed all winter and it was fine.

Love this kayak, so easy to transport, I throw it in the back of the Ford Escape, and it’s nice getting in and out of ( for a 62 old ) , tip: at the end of day lay it out in sun to dry, make sure all the plugs for draining water are closed before inflating again, due to there hard to get at after inflated, and if you don’t your going to get a wet butt.

I purchased the kayak at the end of Summer in 2014 and I used my kayak a couple times last year on the lake in Idaho. I stored my kayak in a spare bedroom during the off season. I took the kayak out this Summer for the first time and it was defective. The kayak did well during my morning ride. However, the kayak seams split due to the inner tube expanding from direct sunlight while camping on the beach with no shade. The inner tube expanded to twice the size of a basketball. Also, the adhesive glue from the fabric near the front handle melted in the sun. The damage from an early afternoon in the sun was disappointing. I had the Advanced Elements pump that confirmed how much air to pump in the kayak. My kayak is now trash sitting in my garage. I am VERY disappointed in this product. I was hoping to purchase a good quality kayak to spend more time on the lake. I purchased the whole set so it was not a typical cheap kayak set you would buy at Walmart. A cheap kayak or renting one would have saved me money in the long run rather than buying a defective product. I definitely did not get my money's worth for the few times I was able to use this product. It's too late to return it to Amazon but I would hate for the next person to be outdoors and to experience a similar situation. I will try to upload a photo soon. This Kayak does not deserve a star.

This kayak is much sturdier than I had expected, and although I went slowly to air it up the first time (because it was all new to me), I was able to set up the kayak on the 2 and 3 trips in less than 5 minutes. I found it tracks easier and straighter than I had anticipated, and it is very comfortable as well, enough that I even took a small nap on my 2nd trip out to the bay. I recommend this, especially for smaller bodies of water and rivers. Customer service was very responsive by the way. I had read other reviews, and don't believe those to be true.

This kayak is amazing it is more like a narrow boat. It tracks through the water nice and true and seams to be unsinkable and unable to flip even in rough seas. I took it out on Tuesday to Sandown on the Isle of wight in 10 knot off shore winds which created 5 ft waves and it never even looked like I might be in trouble for a single in 5 hours of fishing about 2 mile off shore. It feels like a rigid kayak but without the hassle.

We bought these after trying kayaking one time in an Eddyline kayak. Ok, these are not in the same class as Eddylines. However they are great, We used them all last summer (2013) and just went out in them for the first time this year and still love them. The biggest plus is they are very portable. We were all set to purchase hard shell and at the last minute decided to go with these. We have not been sorry. The portability is a huge selling point. I went kayaking on my own and was able to get them in and out of the car/van without any trouble. Being on the short side.....getting a hard shell on top of the car or van would have been tricky. Some people mentioned mold issues. We did not have any, For the most part we used them at least once or twice a week and did not put them back in their bags. We'd tipped them over to drain, wiped them down with a towel and folded them up. Usually just left them in the car/van until the next time we used them. Occasionally we would pump them up and let them air out if we hadn't used them recently. We also purchased a rechargeable air pump which makes the set up a bit quicker. One of us pumps with the electric pump and the other finishes off the large side chambers with the hand pump. In less then 10 minutes both kayaks are ready to go.We bought inexpensive paddles with the idea of trying other paddles. I am sure the right paddle would make a difference with speed. Any suggestions from other owners? My only complaint would be the seat could be better but it isn't a big enough issue to cause us any regrets.

I have had this kayak for two months now, and have had it on both flat and whitewater. It is so comfortable (other than the backrest, which doesn't give much support) and easy to use. I only recommend that when buying a paddle for this kayak, that it be 230 cm in length or greater as the kayak is wider than most.It rides so well, feels secure and is very durable. I got it caught on a rock in a rapid, had to swim out and then throw rope it in. It went over the rock, and several others as well as a small tree and came out of the water without even a scuff or scratch. And it's rated for up to class III whitewater, so you can take it almost anywhere.I love it and I recommend it to anyone interested in inflatable kayaking.
