II have been doing full house remodel really needed this a long time ago, as I was using a grinder to chamfer the edges of pic pipe. This was a welcome addition to my plumbing tools arsenal, made of metal and very easy to use did exactly what it was designed for. Im very glad I was able to find this tool.Recommendable, Absolutely !! This a must have to do a quality plumbing job when working with PVC pipe.

This feels like a good "real" tool. It's all metal, and the cutting blade is a reassuringly chonky piece that is also reversible. It cuts easily and quickly, leaving a nicely finished bevel.

This gadget is solidly made and knocks burrs from cutting off the ends of plastic pipes. Snap it overthe end of the pipe and rotate to get a clean outside edge. Palming it works well for smaller pipes, grab the two pegs to crank it around for larger sizes. I found it easiest to snap on a 1/2" ratchet with extension into the square hole on the back and crank away. Either way, it knocks off the edge for clean gluing without a burr scraping off the glue or finding its way into the interior. The cutting blade is beefy and sharp with cutting edges on two sides for when one gets dull and looks like it could be re-sharpened a few times. It would be nice to have a hard case to protect the edge and fingers too, but the cardboard box can be used at least awhile.I've generally used files and knives on larger pipes so I appreciate how this one works, particularly when the pipe is in the ground and space is tight.A nice piece of kit.

I don't know why, but I had it in my head that this was plastic and it's not. If you're smarter than I am, you'll probably realize this is metal, and if you're not, I can confirm it is.I'm redoing part of a plumbing stack after a leak from a flange and needed to buy some 3" pipe. I wanted to make sure that everything went ok with the work that I did, and didn't want any issues with fit, or debris clogs, so I grabbed this.I'm happy to report that it actually works really well to chamfer the ends, and I have absolutely no complaints.Overall, I'd definitely recommend.

Mixed feelings on calling this "deburring" tool, as it's really a chamferring tool. Anyone with a technical drawing or engineering background knows they're not the same.Anyway, PVC pipe specs call for deburring the inside of the cut and chamfering the outside, so it does what's needed and does it quite well. The instructions call for a single rotation in my testing on 1.5" PVC, it worked great

This is a must when working with pvc. I’m glad I finally broke down and bought one. Works best if you are able to make straight cuts

This is a solidly built piece of plastic that works exactly as advertised. It is so easy to put this on the end of your pipe, twist, and all burs are gone. I never knew I needed this! No more hand sanding/filing. This works quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend this.

Just a few rotations around a pipe cut and the result is a beautifully chamfered pipe that slips into the fitting with ease. Designed for 1¼ to 4 inch plastic pipe, this tool fits onto the end, and you rotate by hand (or ratchet) to debur the outer diameter with excellent results.Note that you will want to start with a clean straight cut, and that this tool does not clean the inner diameter. So another tool might be used on the inside to remove debris and prevent turbulence. There is some resistance on the first rotation around the pipe, because of course you are shaving off material.Constructed of two main pieces, mine were not perfectly aligned when assembled, which may increase the insertion force required. This speaks more to an inexpensive tool, because the results are not diminished. A nice addition to my toolbox.
