The picture looks like there is a gap but it's just the shadow, this fit perfectly with my Pioneer DMH-342EX in my 2011 RAV4I had to cut out the middle bar so I could fit a double din deck and also had to grind off plastic on the back of the mounting brackets. You will know what I mean if you order this, the plastic goes around the back of the radio and covers the plugs for the deck and antenna, very easy to remove and for how amazing the finish looks, I would say this is the best fit for 3rd gen RAV's. Assemble the dash kit first, attach it to the radio so it looks snug, then plug it in and mount it to the car.Made everything looks professional :)

Perfect fit! I used this for a Dual DCPA723W in a 2011 RAV4.It leaves no gaps and the plastic has a nice texture to it.Only complaint is that it is finicky to get together, but it’s worth it in the end.The design allows you to countersink your head unit to your personal preference, which I think is very nice!All-in-all a perfect dash kit in my opinion and at least 2x as nice as the Metra!

Pro: good value, and it eventually came out looking pretty goodCons:* Many reviewers say this is an easy install, but I found it frustrating and somewhat difficult. The manual is probably written for people who do installations for a living. The line drawings are primitive and confusing, and a couple of assembly steps had me stumped until I tried enough combinations that finally I stumbled onto the solution. It's probably obvious to experienced installers, but not to me I'm afraid.* The kit is made of somewhat thin plastic, but it's mostly well made. There's one thing I didn't like: My original Rav4 radio is held in by two sturdy bayonette-like clips that engage when you push the radio into the dashboard. They are nicely designed, and make it easy to pull the radio in and out from the dash when needed. On this kit, these are replaced by two cheesy metal clamps that you slide onto slim plastic posts. There's a significant chance the clip will pop off when you're pushing the radio in, and disappear into the bowels of your car. Even worse, if you decide you need to pull the radio back out (to check connections or whatever), the chance of losing a clip is even larger. I came close to losing one of my clips, but got lucky. I wasn't sure where to get a replacement if I had indeed lost one. I hope I don't ever have to take my radio out again!

Didn't come with the 4 small phillips screws and 2 metal clips that are necessary for installation. Had to return and went with the Scosche TA2055B. The Scosche does leave a small gap at the bottom, but the color matches better and it's made of a sturdier material than the Ai TOYK994.

Fits surprisingly well. Was a little skeptical putting it together. The instructions aren't 100% clear but after using the instructions and a bit of sizing up and common sense it was all put together very clean. Also due to the spacers on top (which you do need) the screws to go in the radio were too short but it's still held securely in place just using 2 screws on each side on the bottom. I'm pairing this with an ATOTO A6 series unit. Now either the cheap Chinese double DIN unit is out of spec, or this cheap trim kit is out of spec because much filing had to be done to massage the radio into the trim. The radio mounting plates have plastic tabs at the back for front-back structural rigidity, but these force the radio too far forward creating a gap between the trim kit and the rest of the dash, and those same tabs interfere with ports on the radio, which I gotta imagine would be a problem with many other more mainstream brands. would be nice if those tabs didn't exist. Those mounting plates are also thick enough to warrant unusually long bolts on the top row of bolt points, which appropriate replacements are not provided for, which is a bummer. The trim also does not use the OE clip mounting points. The stock trim would mount to the rest of the dash via plastic clips at 4 points. The face plate of this kit has provision to use 2 of them if you screw on 2 tiny little extra pieces of plastic with easily stripped screws. If you don't use them, the face plate is dependent on the plastic radio mounts for structural support. That's not confidence inspiring engineering.Having said all that. After an entire Canada Day afternoon spent massaging this thing into being... It looks half decent. I'd prefer to not have needed an entire afternoon to make it work, but at least it's not utter trash.

This was an inexpensive trim kit which fit my Rav4 very satisfactorily. Installation was straightforward, though not without some effort. There is some trimming of plastic tabs that will require cutting and sanding. The appearance when installation is complete is very good. At a glance it looks like it could have come from the factory. The color of the plastic is very close to the original material. It does not have quite the high quality luster of the original, but it is close enough and I am perfectly happy with the appearance. The quality of the material is not as good as the original radio's trim kit. The brackets which mount to the Rav4 are plastic rather than the original metal. Consequently they are not as strong and you have to make sure you don't tighten the mounting bolts too much or you will break the plastic brackets. It comes with some screws to attach to the radio, unfortunately they were not the right size for my unit and I just ended up cannibalizing the screws that came with the Rav4.Overall, especially considering the price, I am very satisfied with this mounting kit. I would purchase it again.
