I really like this air fryer because you don't have to turn the food over during the cooking process. It has two heating elements, top and bottom so both sides cook simultaneously.

This "Air Fryer 14-in-1 with Viewing Window" stands out as a contender worth considering if you are in the market for a new purchase. My experience with this device has been largely positive, yet there are aspects that merit a closer examination. To begin with, the 6-quart capacity is commendable, accommodating meals for a family - I qualify there, having had 12 children. No, they are not all home still, but there are always friends or grandchildren over. So, My point? Well, the true test of any cooking device is its ability to deliver on its promises. The 1700W Max Crisp technology claims to ensure even and quick cooking, and while it generally performs well, it’s essential to acknowledge that results can vary depending on the type of food being prepared. Nearly everything I have cooked has cooked as promised but there have been a time or two I have gotten a bit too excited and found i had to stir and cook again for a few minutes because I allowed the ingredients to get a little too deep. This is where the inclusion of a viewing window is a practical touch, allowing users to monitor progress without the heat loss associated with opening the unit.A notable feature is its 14-in-1 functionality, which positions it as a multifunctional appliance. It boasts capabilities to bake, roast, dehydrate, and reheat, among others. This versatility truly does reduce the need for multiple devices. However, this does not mean I use this device for every function. I still rather do my cake baking in the oven. The dual heating system does streamline the process, minimizing the need to flip food - this is why that for the most part I can put a great deal of food in the pan without having to worry about it not cooking. for me, having to stir and add 5 minutes is a minor inconvenience when weighed against another 30 minutes in the oven and the heat it adds to my house in the heat of the Florida Afternoon already.Cleaning is often a pain point with kitchen appliances, but the nonstick basket honestly simplifies the task. The fact that it is dishwasher safe adds an extra layer of convenience, particularly when it is the kids who are doing the clean-up. But for me, it is just as simple to wash by hand and I have had no trouble with things sticking at all. The controls are also rather intuitive, which can be beneficial even for those who may not be adept in the kitchen-this helps the children quickly learn how to use the oven, as easily as they can use the microwave. Also, this air fryer allows for preparation of meals with significantly less oil, aligning with healthier eating which we are trying to accomplish in our family.

This air fryer is a little smaller than the Ninja we've been using for many years but it is on its last legs and hasn't been doing a very good job lately. There's a series of minor issues but overall this has been a great fryer.Sound-wise it's incredibly quiet, too quiet. Everything about it is just a gentle hum, you can barely tell if it's even on if you have much other background noise going on without getting kind of close being that the light stays on when it's done, and its cook timer is REALLY quiet, barely louder than the fans themselves, literally can't hear it through a door. The temperature settings seem to be in volumes of 1C or something, but display in F, so you get a really weird range, can't do 350, only a bit above and a bit below, can't do 400, I think it capped out at 392.The lower heating element is a cool idea but I'm torn on it too. I still flip my food halfway through since I'm already using my own timer since I can't hear it from the kitchen at all, and it's not like I'm hard of hearing. I found that not flipping results in the bottom not being nearly as crispy as the top, and in some cases, downright soggy. It also doesn't prompt you for a turn or shake time as a result of this feature. The bottom heating ALSO makes the bottom of the tray really really hot so you'll probably want to get a silicone mat to set it on if you set it aside to take food out and you don't know how your counter will handle that kind of heat. Some parts of the exterior of the machine also get a lot hotter than expected. It has a huge variety of presets displayed on top in lit up symbols with labels, all of the few I've so far tried have worked reasonably well.It doesn't auto-preheat I don't think, it's so quiet maybe it was telling me it was heated and I didn't notice? I've been letting it go a bit then resetting the remaining time manually.Basically I keep having to work with it a bit more than I'm used to. It does cook well, it gets plenty hot, gets just as crispy as I'm used to and cooks well but requires a bit of extra baby sitting and your own timer to get effective use out of.
