Use this to have neighbor's dogs back away from jumping at the fence when doing yard work. One short blast and they back off and stay back. Depending upon how long a burst is used, expect to get +/- 10 uses.The only negative is there is no replacement compressed air container.

This is a very small air horn. Not sure how many times you can deploy it before the air runs out as it is only 1.4 oz. That said, one tiny little squeeze of the button emits a sound so loud you feel deaf after using it. The ringing in my ears was intense. I can’t see how this can be fair to use on your dog when their ears are so much more sensitive than ours—it nearly made my ears bleed. It seems better used for SOS emergencies where you need someone’s attention to save you. I’m afraid to use it again without earplugs. If you have a problem dog this will definitely get their attention, but I’m not sure it will have the desired effect. Cannot recommend using this on anything alive.

I will carry this in my pocket or attach it to my Crossbody purse whenever I am out walking or in shopping center parking lots, I think the blast of noise would definitely scare someone or at least startle them enough to be able to protect myself

Product is Great. I use it for the dog park when uncontrollable situations happen. it's loud enough to get the attention of the dogs. I'm sure it can be used for SOS situations as well

I did test it only to know if I believed it would be effective. Results are that I think it would deter a charging bear. Hope to never have to find out.
