Completely disappointed. Do jot recommend.I had a video but can't find at the moment.I thought this would totally help with the smoke when I use my cast iron griddle. it didn't do much at all.

Well, it is noisy. However, that is not important to me: it works well, cleans easily, and is of good quality. It should be placed close to the exhaust of your air fryer and, as indicated on the extensive instructions...do not use near gas stoves or any flame. Just read the instructions and you will find it works well.

I first remember seeing this Air Hood some time back when it was being crowd-funded. I forgot all about it until it showed up on Amazon. I live full-time in an RV as a foodie who cooks a LOT. RV stove exhaust systems are notoriously underpowered and virtually useless. These are not inexpensive, but I’ve found it to be worth every penny. I purchased the wireless version so I can move it around where I need it. I cook using portable induction cooktops, electric skillets, countertop oven & air fryers, so this transports to wherever I’m cooking. It’s loud on the higher settings, but I really don’t care; the RV exhaust fan on “high” was even louder. It sucks in every wisp of steam or smoke and amazingly absorbs any and all cooking odors. I can cook fish, and my husband can fry sausage, and neither of us has to suffer the other’s food odors anymore, LOL.I was immediately attracted to the choice of a bright color, the surfaces are easy to clean, and both filters are super easy to remove and clean. The unit seems to be very high quality. I also purchased the removable stand that I use for getting it to just the right height to work optimally with the induction cooker

Doesn't completely solve the problem of smoke while cooking but definitely mitigates it. It is powerful and compact, somewhat noisy, and draws off a lot of smoke. Battery seems to last a long time and there is a charge indicator so you shouldn't get any surpises.

I frequently sear fish & steaks in my apartment with poor ventilation and no hood. I purchased this unit hoping it would reduce lingering smells and overall make cooking slightly less of a hassle.Pros:- To an extent, the product does reduce the amount of smoke produced and slightly reduced the time smells lingered after cooking. After searing a steak, I could see (by shining a flashlight into the air) that there was less smoke in the room, but there was still a noticeable amount.- I really liked the stylish design, form factor, and portability of this unit. I have a smaller kitchen with not a lot of counter space, so this unit fit in very nicely and could be easily stored away when not in use. There are unfortunately several flaws with this product though:- The airflow is pretty low and does not suck in all of the smoke generated from cooking. I would say maybe only 60-80% of the fumes get sucked in, while the other 20-40% will make it past the sides of the unit.- At its highest setting, this unit is very LOUD! It didn't bother me too much since it's only used for a couple of minutes at a time, but something to keep in mind if you're in a noise-sensitive environment.- There is a plastic ring that uses three tabs to hold the stainless steel oil filter onto the plastic front faceplate. Unfortunately this piece feels very cheaply made for such an expensive product. The instructions advise to remove and clean the stainless steel filter after each use, but I worry about the long-term durability of this mounting system.- This product is VERY SENSITIVE to drafts! When I first tried it, I had a window adjacent to my kitchen (10-15 feet away from the cooktop) open, and this product would only suck up maybe 10% of the cooking fumes. I had to close all open windows and ensure there were no drafts before this product started sucking up more of the fumes, but even then it couldn't get all of it.- I purchased the wireless (battery-powered) unit. However, I found that the unit had slightly better performance (measured by loudness using dB meter on my phone app) when plugged in compared to running on battery mode.Despite initially having high hopes, I ended up returning this product as I simply couldn't justify the high price tag given its mediocre performance.

I deep fry, cook burgers on a cast iron skillet and worse of all sear steaks on cast iron, small apartment with no ventilation. It has absolutely made a huge difference! Would buy again

You need to place it very close to the pan to be efficient but then the plastic melts. It was not on a gaz stove but electric and not on the surface., just close to the pan. (Maybe 3 inches).

We have recently replaced all of our smoke detectors. Now, whenever I am frying or searing anything, the detectors go off. It is annoying!!! I started putting on a standing fan, which was working. I had seen this product on IG and was intrigued. My husband spotted it in a catalog and brought it to my attention. Reading all of the reviews it was worth a shot. OMG! It worked! Yes, it can be loud but who’s hood vent is not? It is convenient to just pull it out and turn it on right next to the stove. Being wireless is also a plus because you can place it anywhere. I recommend!
