So obviously there is some building you will need to do but it wasn't very difficult. Make sure you read the measurements so you select the appropriate size cage. I bought this for my sons guinea pigs and they wouldn't climb to the area up top. An adult guinea pig may have some trouble climbing up the ramp. Its small and they just wouldn't do it. That isn't the products fault but please know that if you are using it for adult guinea pigs.

I would like to suggest pre drilling before screwing in the screws because the wood is not the best quality. It is a great value for the price. I also suggest inverting the second floor cover in order to give more space if you plan on putting a wheel in the cage.

Overall it’s a nice setup, however it arrived badly damaged. Given the shipping time and beating of returning something of this size, I found it easier to just fix it myself. Several pieces arrived broken and cracked. The provided hardwear had screw heads too small for the casters so they wouldn’t stay secure. Boards were warped and split.With some glue, clamps and right sized hardwear I was able get the habitat to a reasonably secure level. It’s not like there were similar reviews warning me of similar experiences, I just thought they would have done something about it.Just wish there was a way to they a partial credit or something.

I WILL UPLOAD PICTURES LATER TODAY WHEN I GET HOME.Product looks good if you were to just walk in the room and glance at it, but there are a lot of issues/concerns with the quality of the whole cage.The latches are ridiculously awful so I had to spend extra money upgrading/replacing those. When you go to screw the screws in place per instructions, the wood splits because there aren't predrilled holes, there's just a dent/marking where the screw should go. Every panel that came in was damaged somehow, whether that be because the box had been thrown around during shipping, the production itself. Had to fix crooked hinges that were already on the cage. Some of the pieces don't even line up correctly, like the dimensions are way off on some. The part that opens up where you can pull out the tray, that little door, yea that doesn't even shut all the way because dimensions are off and things are not aligned correctly. As far as "anti chew", that's a load of crap. They have been able to chew a whole chunk off the ramp and the hide away. And these are tiny little hamsters we're talking about. They've chewed away at the front of the inside door on the bottom level. Like its a cool looking cage and everything, don't get me wrong. And i was so excited for my daughter to get this set up for her christmas gift, but every other day there is another issue that arises in regards to the quality of the cage. For the price of this cage PLUS $60 SHIPPING & HANDLING, I would have expected a lot nicer cage and higher quality wood for sure, especially from a company that is dedicated to making/selling cages. You're better off just going to tractor supply or royal king and buying a good quality rabbit hutch/cage of this type. If i had the funds to buy a different cage or even a temp cage to put my daughters hamsters in, i would 100% return this item because i am incredibly disappointed with the whole thing.

This cage is a pretty good design that is reasonable quality but the shipping method is terrible...AND they charge $60 or so for the shipping. See pics for damage. They were quick to respond through Amazon and seemed very helpful; I asked them to just replace the one end piece that was cracked from poor packing and/or rough handling by the quite expensive shipping company; the other small issues I could deal with. At first they asked if I could just DIY the acrylic window that was cracked. I said no, I want it replaced; I will install the new one. They said o.k. and I gave them my shipping address. A month later, no window. Contacted them again; very promptly replied that the part was lost in transit and could they just refund the money. I agreed. The refund showed up in a couple days. Of course the I am still out the $60 some bucks for the crappy shipping!All in all, it could be a pretty good cage, the instructions are fairly clear, all the needed hardware was there plus a spare or two. Most of it went together well. The caster screws were too small (they fell through the holes in the casters) so I replaced them with my "garage" stock. The latches are cheap and flimsy and easily bent."Joy" in customer service seems dedicated and always responded promptly.

It did have quite a few pieces but was so easy to put together! My daughter and I had fun doing it together. Absolutely love this cage and I think little hashbrown does too! I love that there is a door on the bottom to easily remove the tray for easy clean up. And I really like the 4 doors. Gives me all around access for deep cleaning the cage, feeding etc. very happy and would highly recommend
