I have been using the screw type band hose clamps. They are great for specific purposes. But at the time, not for mine. I needed even pressure around the hoses and fitting. These did the trick. The special little pliers they make for these is pretty helpful, but otherwise, you are just as well off with a pair of long nose pliers or even better, the angled long nose. HF sells a combo box, but I needed more of each. These were perfect for the large ones which were harder to find.

Not sure how someone could give this 5 stars... these clamps are definitely not stainless steel! Also, found 2 broken ones so far, so that should tell you all you need to know about their quality.

This is the size needed for most 1/4" ID fuel line, these seem to hold line tight without leaks.

It's nice to have a range of spring hose clamps on hand to fix aging cars. The range of sizes in this kit is convenient for the Toyota and Subaru cars I've worked on.However, the 11 mm and smaller clips have thinner metal and provide lower clamping force. These clips were used on transmission cooler lines which are under pressure from the transmission pump. I wish these smaller clips were made from thicker metal to increase their clamping strength.

Nice selection of sizes, should cover all anticipated applications. Heavy gauge metal, seems solid. MUCH more solid than the selection of clamps I purchased at AutoZone, which were flimsy at best. Good price, especially when you factor in a little packet of clamps at the Big Box Auto Parts store go for about $6 for 1/2 dozen clamps.I recommend!
