This cord provides ample power and functionality with a good length to get your cam where you want it (almost exactly). It is a good deal and was really exactly what I needed to get a cam up and out of the way in order to get a better view. I would easily buy another if/when I need to; no hesitation.

Got this plug in cable for one of my outside Ring cameras that goes offline frequently. Paired easily with the camera and has a long cord to plug in which is very helpful. Powers on immediately and works well. Appears to be made for quality materials and can be used outside. Works as intended to power up the Ring camera. Good value for the money.

The original cable and plug that came with our Ring camera, despite being rated for outdoor use, recently became corroded due to water exposure. We would get a weird "Low Battery" warning (despite the camera being the plug-in version) in the app. We replaced the cable with this one and it is working great. No more error message and looks like a good water-resistant plug. We put some tape around the plug as well to reduce the chances of water ingress. A good replacement to the original cord.

Does it work? Yes. Did they put the transformer in the very middle making it an awkward spot to hide when you’re stringing the cable over a long distance… also yes.If they had put the transformer a foot or 2 from the plug, it would have been much better and I’d give it 5 stars.

I finally found the solution to the known glitch of some third party power adapters causing ring stick up cams to give the "device stopped receiving power" error notification. This adapter fits perfectly, seems to be very high quality, and best of all it registers with the Ring app as actually being hardwired, instead of powered by a low wattage solar charger. I have not tried this solution without a battery in the unit (the included instructions say to only use it if you have a battery), but I suspect it would work as a 3rd party replacement power supply without any issues... but again, based on the included instructions, I would only do this at your own risk. If you have a battery in your camera, however, and are trying to find a plug-in solution that allows it to run in wired mode, but with a battery backup, this particular power adapter provides plenty of watts and does not give the error notification! Solid 5 stars! I'm going to order several more for my other stick up cameras!Update: on a second stick-up camera, the "device stopped receiving power" error persisted (despite that the fact that it had plenty of power. The solution is to change the power mode to battery and go through the whole setup again, and THEN change it back to wired (and go through the setup an additional time) and then the error message is permanently gone. I tried this trick on a different adapter I have that also gives the error message, and it did NOT work on that one. So my original review stands as solid 5 stars for this ALERTCAM adapter, but if you still have the error message after installing it, try my trick above.
