When I purchased the newer model of Ring outdoor cameras, I was disappointed to discover that they were battery-operated only. This feature necessitates climbing a ladder to remove the camera for recharging, resulting in a temporary loss of surveillance coverage in the area. However, this cable solution ensures that the camera remains operational even during extended periods of absence.

Contacts are positioned a little differently than the genuine google connector so, according to the instructions, you may have to connect, disconnect and reconnect several times. However, as soon as it was hooked up it worked.

These cables somehow DRAINED my camera's battery. It seemed to only drain overnight when the IR night vision turned on, but I never had any issues with that in the year of having my camera run only on battery. The battery by itself would last like 2 months. With the cable, it hit 0 a few hours after night vision turned on. I tried different wall warts/power bricks and it happened with every one of them - even the one that came with my camera. I also tried different battery settings, but none of that helped. At least they work during the day as described, but it didn't even charge back to full before night time came again.Definitely don't buy these cables. Idk what's wrong with them, but I bought a different brand and those have given me no issues whatever.On the plus side, the length of the cable is good and they did come with mounting hardware. And I like that it's a flat cable. But those qualities are easily found on other offerings too.

I bought the 26FT Power Cable for my outdoor Google Nest Cam, and it’s been excellent. The length is perfect, and the cable is weatherproof, keeping my camera continuously powered. Installation was easy, and the 5V 2A charger works well. Highly recommend for outdoor setups!
