I really wanted to love this. I was looking for something simple so I could practice my needle-point after a long hiatus not doing any. If you aren't concerned about really being precise (which is a lot of what needle-point is about), then there is nothing wrong with this. For me, I think the main issue is that it is a painted canvas with curved lines that would be easier to do really well if there was also a chart. If the pattern were just geometrical with only straight lines, it wouldn't present any problem for the perfectionist. It's a pretty pattern. I gave it only an "okay," 3 stars because, for me, it has some issues. I could have given it 4-stars, but that would mean "I like it." Most people might like it.It requires using 6-strand threads. So each stitch is on the large size, ... also fine for me since I wanted to use it for practice. But when each stitch is large, then each stitch also shows up more clearly as a separate stitch, requiring even more careful uniformity.Also, the thread does not come separated and organized in any way. It's very nice thread, though, great colors, and organizing it yourself doesn't take that long.So if you aren't a perfectionist, you would probably enjoy this piece just fine. Otherwise, you might prefer to also have a chart to follow and maybe use a canvas that doesn't require 6-strand threads.Pros: Nice colors - Painted Canvas - attractive pattern - probably excellent for someone who isn't too much of a perfectionistCons: Difficult to get just right because there is no chart - threads do not come organized - 6-strand thread shows up imperfections more than some people will be satisfied with

Super cute!! Will be a fun project.August 29, 2018I was looking on amazon for my next project when I came across this one again. I thought I’d post a picture of the finished piece, since I literally finished it this morning. I’m very happy with how it turned out. I embellished it a bit with some metallic thread, and extra floss I purchased from a craft store. I personalized it, and made it into a small pillow. It took me about 8 weeks to stitch. In 2 days, I plan to give it to my granddaughter for her 2nd birthday:-)
