Three of the four filter’s have arrived busted open. I have never returned anything from Amazon but I will have to figure that out.Otherwise, I have used these filters before and they are excellent!

I wanted to share some testing I did with this filter for all current and potential buyers. Using a freshly calibrated digital pH meter (Dr.meter PH100-V) I tested my slightly acidic well water (pH of 6.86). I then tested my filter water on the last day of it's 60 day life cycle showing a pH of 7.15. After replacing the filter and running a couple gallons through it I pulled another sample showing a pH of 7.43. These filters do work and continue alkalizing water up to and beyond their recommended 60 day life!Additionally the water tastes great and Lake Industries' pitcher has survived daily use in my home for nearly 2 years now. I do have a good deal of iron and copper sediment in my well water and the filter doesn't capture all of it. This would require RO to completely remove though and only the tiniest bits make their way through and it's more than safe to drink!

These filters add a bit of pleasant mineral taste to the water but beyond that I'm not sure they do much of anything. I live in New Jersey where the water has strong chemical taste and I can still taste the unpleasant chemicals after using this filter. I have now tried 2 of the 4 filters that came in this pack and waited about 20 days to make my final evaluation.I have found it very difficult to find a good water filter pitcher at a reasonable price. Recently I purchased a Hskyhan filter pitcher that I was very pleased with, but when it came time to order replacement filters I was dismayed to find that it would take a month for Hskyhan filters to be delivered. So I decided to try these instead. It appears as if Hskyhan and Lake Industries use the same pitcher. Both brands claim that their filters are a universal size. As far as I can tell this substitution should be fine and the Lake Industries filters are working to their potential, which seems to be hardly at all. I reordered Hskyhan filters a few days after installing one of these extremely disappointing Lake Industries filters and I am still waiting for them. I highly recommend not trying this brand of filters, especially if you are picky about the taste of your water or live in an area where the water has a strong bad taste to begin with.

The water pitcher itself is great you can put it on the door in your refrigerator. Instructions are easy to follow and the water filters are easy to install. Follow the instructions with the actual filters you have to pre-soak them (12 min) and you have to run them under running water 2-3min. The filters themselves are a little pricey but they're worth it if your water is very acidic. as for the taste this varies from region to region and with the mineral content in the water but my water tastes great. I only knocked it one star because the plastic piece where the water pours out broke pretty easily.

These fit perfectly in my Mavea water pitcher. This is great news as Mavea has ceased North American operations, leaving us without a long term option for filters. These Lake Industries filters do alkalize the water with dissolving minerals, so TDS meters won't show great results. The water does taste good, probably from the softer, higher pH levels. My wife likes the taste of the water through Lake Industries better than Mavea, so there is that.

The following is a review on the pitcher, but it uses these filters. Filter change is easier on this then the previous pitcher I was using. I use it at work to get rid of the chlorine taste; I've gotten used to no chlorine being on a well, and if you're not used to it, it really does taste bad. As far as pH goes, tap water at work is normally 6.9-7.1. So far, the water poured out of the pitcher is 8.4-8.5. And, the water tastes better then it did out of the previous water filter pitcher, which just removed the chlorine and other contaminants but didn't add anything.Update: After 6 weeks, the pH increase was only to 7.7, vs the 8.4-8.5 when new. I changed the filter, even though the water coming out stilled tasted good with no chlorine passing through. I fill the pitcher up twice during an 8 hour shift, so 6 weeks isn't bad for a filter lifetime.

I was skeptical, I'm elated about this product for so many reasons, the way it fills, the shape, color, how the cartridge fits with such ease. The price is so comfortable for me.only test left is to check ph level. How many liters ie 100-150. I started out w/avery expensive system which failed miserable . The cost is out of control. It started out on Christian program. Ate ten gal it slows down and stops after about 20 gal. Uhv to wait several month's for it to reactivate and the cycle starts over again. We spent so much for the different items ALL fell Short

We have been buying Alkaline water from Trader Joes for $1.19 a liter bottle. Each filter makes 150 liters for $10.00 if we buy a 4 pack. If we bought 150 bottles it would be about $180.00 versus the $10.00. We now use the water for everything including giving it to our dog. We saved our old Trader Joes bottles and we refill them and keep them refrigerated. After we use them we rinse them in a little white vinegar to keep them fresh. Not only do we save per bottle we also save trips to the store. We used our test strips to check the ph and it came within the range on the box.
