I ordered this as an upgrade over the plastic water intake on my RV. Easy to install. The package includes everything you need for a swap out. You get tape for the threads, stainless steel screws and some spare washer-filters. Gives the unit a higher-end appearance.

For my 1963 Airstream, THIS was the style choice for tank fill (and city water hookup - yes, I ordered a second one after testing!!)SO... Why not 5 stars? See the 4th photo - the mounting screws provided aren't up to the rest of the filler. They broke upon hand torque with a screwdriver. I would recommend using your own screws.Price seems fair enough.

Before we head out to camp for a week, we put water into our RV so we can drink, flush and even shower in the great outdoors. The original city water inlet has been on our RV since we bought it and recently I noticed the plastic was cracking. This city water inlet came with installment directions and it was quite easy to replace my broken city water inlet. I liked the idea of metal as I assume it will last longer than the plastic options. One of the great options is that it has a built in check value so that the water doesn't blow back out of the tank. The quality of the item is durable and it doesn't leak. After replacement we filled the tank and this city water inlet valve worked well. It fit properly and was perfect for our use. Overall, I am very satisfied with this city water inlet. Since we put it on, there has been no leakage and it works great.

Solid stainless steel base and cap mounted easily in wet bay after drilling 3 mounting screw holes.Smooth finish looks and feels goodWire cable attaches metal cap to water inlet base.Backing nut not used as pass through hole in wall is 2" which gives nothing for smaller 1.73" nut to tighten against.Attached without a problem to 1/2" pex fitting and connected seamlessly to our hose filter setup no drips.Internal check valve stops water from being pumped out of water inlet when RV not connected to hose water supply.

This water inlet was very easy to install. It comes with some basic instructions. I mounted mine with a couple screws, because accessing the other side of the wall is difficult on my RV, however it does including a backing plate if you want an EXTREMELY secure mount. The inlet itself is extremely sturdy and durable. The threads are very smooth. I like the cap, since the RV this is installed on currently isn't hooked up and this will keep dirt and debris from getting in there.

This water inlet is Really nicely built, heavy, solid, strong metal cap retainer, and has perfect threads. The finish on it is very nice and consistent. I checked the internal one way valve and it too is well made, but is plastic. When I tested it, I had no problems with leaking. Like any of these inlets, I recommend a pressure reducer on the Hose connected to it. The extra washer-screens it comes with are also well made. Very VERY happy with this product as it is well designed, does what it is supposed to, and was easy to install.I'm building my own RV from scratch and am using durable metal whenever possible. As a replacement it would go right in with no problem though.

If you need to replace your city water inlet, this is a great option. This unit is full-metal (even the nut to tighten the unit in place). It has all the normal functions/features (internal check valve, 3/4" GHT input, 1/2 NPT Male output, and a wire screen for catching debris, etc.). The dimensions in the listing match the item perfectly, so I won't repeat them here - look at the Product Size pic on the listing.Color is closest to what the exterior of an Airstream looks like. My flange has a few small scratches on it, but no harm - I got that many more during the install. The ring that tightens on the garden hose is metal. The dust cap is solid metal. This thing is a beast. Make sure to measure your existing unit. There are a couple major sizes - one is a recessed, large flange (about 4.5 inches) and the other is this style, a flat flush flange, with the outer diameter just under 3 inches. Also check to see if the hole pattern matches, or be prepared to plug the old holes and redo new ones. This flange is three holes, not 4. But installation is easy. They provide all the hardware you will need. You get a domed wire-mesh washer already installed, plus a spare one that is domed, and one that is flat, if you prefer that instead. They also give you three sheet metal screws to affix the flange to the RV wall. On the interior connection, they provide a rubber washer for the 1/2 NPT connection and the metal nut to tighten the unit on the inside has two screws to lock it in place, like a faucet typically has. Also comes with a small roll of PTFE (teflon) tape for sealing the threads. So far, no leaks - a good thing. If it lasts, it was definitely a good bang for the buck. I was amazed to see a full metal version was not that much more than a cheap plastic one.

These RV water hose connections are well made. Stainless steel construction so it won't rust or corrode. The base mounting plate is thick stainless so no worries of breaking. I can definitely recommend.
