it is a double sided tape with that dense foam in the middle, virtually eliminating any chance of accurate, sound recording or reproduction. The price point just not worth bothering to return so I can forward to the joy of removing that stuff from the metal. Better odd soldering pads to a 1/4" jack. what else? Or you have the pads are big for tight placement.

Works best with either a preamp, graphic equalizer, or tone control on your amp. I use an acoustic guitar amp that has settings for active or passive pickups, and I can dial in a very good acoustic guitar sound. I’m not sure that K & K is any better. The guitar I installed it on is a dreadnaught that has a large sound board inside and easily fits all three sensors. If you install it on a smaller guitar you might want smaller sensors or a unit with two sensors. Great bang for the buck.

It works but sound quality is horrible.the adhesive pads don’t stick very well. I wouldn’t recommend buying.
