This Aluminum Alloy Adjustable Cord Clip Protector plate by by YAMCOWL is of excellent craftsmanship!This plate adapter is a highly secure designed with tethering in mind this adapter plate functions well while adding to the longevity of your cable and port.It's designed well and it's lightweight alloy build makes it super portable and easy to use and although it's light weight it's very durable at the same time. One thing that's not mentioned in the product description is the fact that this adapter is Arca Swiss compatible.Overall I'm very pleased with this product and find it to be of excellent value.

This cable clamp was very easy to install and it does hold my tether cable securely. I was trying to figure out if this was an Arca amount or what kind of mount it was, and I could not find that in the documentation.I found that hand tightening it was not enough, and I needed to use a screwdriver to secure it against the bottom of my camera. Even then, it was still not tight enough to completely prevent turning.I use RC4 quick release plates for my geared tripod head and I was able to attach a QR plate to this cable holder which includes two 1/4 inch threaded sockets, however it did put the camera lens off axis.Unfortunately, this means that I won’t be using it very often because most of the time when I’m tethering, I’m also using my tripod.I think if you just want a cable holder while you handhold the camera, or if you have a tripod headthat this plate will fit into, you may find more use for it then I did.

It is a solid piece of metal, and is well built but it just doesn't serve much purpose to me. It attaches to the bottom of your camera, which means you can't put it on a tripod which is inconvenient.

If you're a studio shooter, or just are concerned about your expensive camera body getting a time consuming and costly repair, this is absolutely worth getting.Functions exactly as it should, the cable (usb in my case) fits in snugly and you can route it in different ways for more security.Definitely worth having!

I couldn't find info on this, and was only guessing it was Arca compatible from the images, and it is! There are two cable slots, the larger holds the thick Tether Tools cable firmly in place. The equivalent part from Tether Tools is 8x the price and no better, so for value this easily earns 5 stars.

It really helped with cable management!! One of my gripes with shooting digital over the old school days of film is the addition of all the extra cables. This plate made it more manageable for sure. My one only, small issue, is that the little lever that is on the head of the 1/4 20 tripod screw, is kind of hard to access when you have very short fingernails. Otherwise, very happy so far.
