What you get for the money here is pretty impressive so I think this little radio/music player merits 5 stars even though the earbuds that come with it aren't the best I've ever heard. Music sounds great when you plug in a better pair of earbuds. You also have the convenience of being able to use this as an AM/FM radio and to listen through the device's built-in speaker, which are extras you don't get with most MP3 players.FM reception is very good. You can get local and also reasonably distant FM stations. One minor complaint is that the earbud wire does not appear to function as an FM antenna, so you still have to extend the antenna on the unit if you're listening to FM with earbuds. AM is pretty much limited to local stations, but that's not surprising in a device this small. Being able to use the numeric keypad to enter radio station frequencies makes it much faster to go right to a particular station.Inserting a micro SD card turns this into a music player. It works well in this capacity, and here the keypad also comes in very handy: You can just enter the number of the track you want to go to and the player moves directly to it. Much better than having to push a forward or backward button dozens of times as you do with some other music players. You can also use Bluetooth to pair this device with your phone to listen to whatever audio you access on there, although I'm not certain what benefit this offers. If you want to listen to audio from your phone you could just connect earbuds to that or listen on the phone's speakers. But the capability is there nonetheless.Sound quality through the built-in speaker is not bad. It's clear and reasonably full for such a small speaker - comparable to what you get from decent-quality speakers in a phone or tablet. As noted earlier, the included earbuds are of basic quality. They're not terrible, but the audio is excellent when you plug in some better ones. The bright, clear amber display is an unexpected bonus and makes this device much easier to use than those with small LCD displays that are often hard to see. Even someone with weak eyesight could use this without any trouble. There's an internal battery that you charge with a USB-C connector; a USB-A to USB-C cord is provided. A sleep function lets you set the device to shut off after up to 90 minutes of play, so you can listen in bed without it staying on all night and running down the battery.

Pros:- Very small, easy to fit in a pocket or a bag without much issue.- Easy to read the display with a nice amber backlight.- Bluetooth was easy to connect and use.- SD card reader works perfectly for MP3s.- Charging via USB-C is easy.- 3.5mm headphone jack so you can use what ever you want to listen.- The controls are easy to use, the numeric pad on the front makes it easy to switch channels.- The switches all have a good positive snap to them.Cons:- As far as I can tell it can not be disassembled so if something goes wrong it will be difficult to repair.- The last 3 steps on the antenna are extremely thin and could bend or break easily.- Would have liked to see a kickstand or feet on the back so that you could place it on a table or shelf to listen and still read the display.- No weather bands.- Programming the presets is a little complicated.Overall I really like this small radio. There are some things I would change sure but my biggest issue is with the antenna, it just feels like its going to snap when I try to push it back in. There are plenty of complaints about the audio quality of the speaker, I don't see the problem with it for the size. The speaker reminds me of all of the old pocket radios from the 70s and 80s and with the headphone jack you can use what ever you want to listen.
