Perfectly acceptable and much cheaper replacement for the Festool domino cutter. I have both the 8mm and 5mm in this brand. Cheap enough to buy 2 and keep a spare on hand.

This broke on the first mortise I tried to cut with it. I guess I will have to spring for the Festool cutters because this is not a good option. Very disappointing. Looking at the ends where it broke I’m not even sure if this is tool steel. Avoid.

There are other brands out there besides Amana now, but beware of them. If you don't want to pay for the full festool price, stick with these Amana bits. They always fit right, are the correct length (unlike the other guys) and are nice and sharp. Good deal all around.

Decided to try instead of the festool cutter. Made 4 successful test cuts and the bit exploded while making the 5th cut . Never had this happen before with any bit. I thought Amana products were supposed to be high quality. Didn't try and reach out to customer service yet, but maybe you do get what you pay for...wear your eye protection people....a broken bit you are out a few bucks....your eyes are a different story.

Amana tool is a trusted name in router bits and CNC bits these are no different, good quality great value. You know, finding a cutter that stands up to the big brand names without bleeding your wallet dry is like spotting a unicorn. But here we are — this cutter’s a diamond in the rough. It's every bit as sturdy and precise as the FESTOOL cutter, but without the fancy label and price tag that makes you wince. I'd bet my bottom dollar on it again. FESTOOL might hold their bits up like they're the crown jewels, especially for their Domino DF500. But I stumbled upon these gems online, and let me tell you, they’re keeping pace with FESTOOL’s stock 5mm bit—without gouging my bank account. It's a win in my book.

I've used my Domino a fair amount and the standard 4mm bit was getting dull. Instead of sharpening it, I decided to buy a new bit. This bit worked great - the mortise was clean and making it was smooth and easy.Only time will tell for how long it will stay sharp, but I have high hopes.

Thought I would give this a try because at $31 and change is was just under half the price of the Festool cutter. Got it this afternoon, immediately used it for a small job (24 10x80mm tenons) and it did the job well. Tenons where just a tiny hair more loose than I typically get with the Festool cutters, but once I applied glue it still required decent clamping force to close the joint so I have zero concerns about the strength of the joint. And when I've sent out the Festool cutters to get sharpened, they're often just a tiny bit smaller coming back so the mortises are a little too tight, so I think this one will probably avoid that. Overall, great value. Am going to order the 14MM as soon as I finish here.
