I used this to modify a water pump for a Chrysler Town and Country, with a broken mounting screw. This tool will work for wood, metal, etc. The carbide was very sharp and cut faster than I expected. I would recommend this tool. I have used a lot of carbide tools...

I used this bit to cut a perfect countersunk depression for the head of a rivet nut in a 3/8" thick fiberglass car fender. I couldn't use a conventional beveled/tapered countersink bit because it would dig too deep into the fiberglass and weaken it overall. This bit makes an even depression for a 1/2 diameter washer or bolt head (or rivet nt). Right tool for the job. Would definitely recommend.

Needed to drill and counter bore IPE hard wood at an angle for wire rails, it works great with an incredibly clean and precise cut

Cool idea but doesn’t work well in a hand drill. I got such bad tear out with my hand drill. Just doesn’t want to work right. Might end up buying a tapered one even though I’m using flat hardware screws that need a flat bed.

I really wish these had adjustable stops like other amana countersinks, cannot find flat bottom countersink bits with stops but These cut well I use them for countersinking brake friction. I have to use drill bit stops to have consistent depths.

This is THE tool for drilling out a rifle stock to install aluminum bedding pillars. I used it on a Remington 700 laminated stock to open up the action screw holes for 5/8' pillars and it worked perfectly; didn't need the drill press, just used a cordless hand drill. I put a few wraps of masking tape around the 1/4 pilot bit so it wouldn't cut in and skew the bore line and cut from both top and bottom until the holes met in the middle. Perfect bore alignment, no chipping of the stock. It couldn't have come out better.

What does a $20 drill bit look like? Well it looks like this. As soon as I took it out of the bag I knew it was worth it and I knew it was the only thing that would properly do what I needed it for, which was to counter bore one of the potentiometer holes from the back on a Les Paul guitar to inset a mini toggle switch to extend through to the front. I taped the drill bit part because I already had a hole. It bored quick and clean with no drama and made an easy task out of something that I had labored to think of a way to do without destroying an expensive instrument. Just be careful as you peel the protective plastic goop off of the bit because the blades on the counter bore are sharp enough to cut you.
