Description
These snap shackles are made with strong and corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel capable of withstanding thousands of pounds of force.
For when the application does not require the snap shackle to be frequently removed, the eye swivel snap shackle is your shackle of choice.
If the shackle does require frequent removal while maintaining a secure connection, our jaw snap shackles are perfect for the job.
Our snap shackles are available in three different lengths: 3-1/2", -/and 4-7/8".
Though each is made from 316 stainless steel, the bigger the shackle, the more force it is capable of handling.
The greatest benefit of a snap shackle is the ability to release the bail under hundreds or even thousands of pounds of load.
A swift pull of the pin releases bail, which is ideal for use on spinnaker halyards,
Or other applications when a quick and easy release is required.
To ensure the pin is not accidentally pulled, we recommend wrapping the pin down with your favorite rigging tape.
Because these snap shackles are designed to be quickly and easily opened,
if you are using these shackles for anything other than use on a halyard,
we highly recommend you consider your application and decide carefully whether these shackles meet those application's safety requirements.

The design on these are great but lot very durable. I had these on an SCBA to hold a firefighting mask and after a couple hard pulls they’ll completely disassemble. I would recommend these for anyone that needs a temporary fix but not something to rely on long term.

I needed a pair of 3 1/2" snap shackles to match existing ones on our boat. These claimed to be 3 1/2" but are actually 3 1/8" overall and clearly a size under standard 3 1/2" shackles. I understand metric/American lengths cannot always match up, but being 3/8" short and smaller in all dimensions is not an accurate selling feature. We are leaving, so no time to return them.

I’m making a nautical bag and using these with rope for handles. Actual hardware for sailboats.

Appear to be well made. Have not used them yet, but plan to use as a quick release for my kayak anchor.
