Seems solid. Thick enough MDF. Appears to be sealed with silicone at all gaps but I haven't used mirror to look at top piece seam yet, they had to put some piece on last and that's the one that'll be hurting for sealant. The opening is 9.12 inches I think and my shallow mount Infinity 10" is 9.5 so I'll have to sand about .2" off the circular opening and hope I don't screw up the felt.

I put this in my 2017 Ram Quad Cab right after I got it with a 10" Image Dynamics sub and JL 500/1 amp using the stock 8.4" touchscreen headunit and AudioControl LC2i. This setup works great together with components up front and coaxials in the rear. The base isn't going to rock you like a 12" in a large box or even a 10" in a large box, but it sounds good for the size and space restraints. The box fits pretty well down in the hole under the rear seat, driver side with no complaints.

I'm extremely happy with this box. I have a 2017 quad cab ram and I had to take the folding cargo tray out in order to make this fit, but after taking that out and moving this around a littlebit in the cubby hole it fit right and fit real snug. The seat goes down just fine. Now the seat does go right up against the subwoofer, but under the seat in the middle there's no bracing, so only the cloth of the seat is the hitting the top of the woofer. I'm extremely happy how this turn out and definatly recommend it. Like I said I fit this in a ram 2017 truck so I assume it will fit in most year model rams

This is a great prefabricated box for a quick install. I have a 2017 Ram Power Wagon 2500 (Crew Cab). The item description says it doesn't fit, but Ram really hasn't changed the Crew Cab at all. This box does fit. The only issue I have so far is when the seat is down it makes the front of the box stick up. I won't dock this a star, as technically it doesn't say my truck is supported. But once again the Crew Cabs haven't changed. I saw one other review where their model is listed and it does the same thing. This company needs to fix that. I plan on taking my box out when I have time to make some fine adjustments to make sure it stays flat when the seat is down. Overall, this is a great item.I have the factory Alpine system in my truck. I had this same system in my prior 2013 Ram 1500 Laramie. For the life of me I don't know why I didn't do this sooner. The factory sub is ok. I guess it's better than not having one at all.I had an 02 Dodge Quad Cab and had a local audio shop build me a box and add a 10" sub / amp to it. It had been sitting in my garage for 4 years when I got my 13. I finally had a thought of putting that setup in my 17. I found all that I needed, but the only thing missing was a box. The box I had built would have fit in my current truck, but it was made to fit under the passenger side rear storage. The problem with that is I would have had to remove my folding floor storage and I didn't want to on that side. We have a Golden Doodle and that is where he sits on road trips. Therefore, I needed a box for the driver's side storage. I didn't need the floor storage there. I found this and it made all of that work. As for the sound quality, this sounds pretty darn good. So good in fact that I cannot tell if it's any lesser quality than the professional box I had built for my 02. When I modify it to fit better, i.e. the seat folding down won't make it stick up, I will reseal everything. I do recommend this.

I bought this subwoofer box as a temporary solution, knowing that I will eventually make a proper fiberglass subwoofer enclosure. For the $68 I paid for it, I can't complain too much. The item description says this fits 2002 - 2012 Ram trucks, but I have a 2013 crew cab, so I took a chance anyway. The box technically does fit, but I felt some modifications were required. First, the box is listed as a sealed box. The build quality is exactly what I expected for a $68 "custom fit" subwoofer box. 5/8" MDF that has been glued and brad nailed together, with a few less than perfect seams. I am going to silicone every seam in this box to make sure it actually seals. The biggest issue I have with the box, is that when it sits in my truck, the top carpeted surface of the box touches the bottom of the rear seat. Any subwoofer that I install in this box is likely to get damaged when one of my buddies decides to sit in that seat. Their butt will be fighting the subwoofer cone for airspace... and the butt will win. The only way for me to fix this is to add seat risers to my truck, which will add some more airspace for peaceful coexistence of butts and subwoofers. Unfortunately, this subwoofer box floats over the driver's side rear seat bracket and mounting bolt closest to the door on the 2013 models. I had to take this box to a bandsaw and trim out a section for clearance so I can raise my seats and use it safely. I don't know if this would actually be a problem on 2002 - 2012 models, but I found it for my 2013, so I wanted the world to know.

There was only one review on this item before I made my purchase which made me wonder if this would actually fit my 2008’ ram 1500 quad cab. I am very pleased with my purchase; it fits like a glove in the back seat. My only concern was that the seat is resting right on top of the speaker. There is almost no gap from the top of the speaker to the bottom of the seat. The sound however does not change with the seat up or with the seat right on top of the sub. You should feel confident in purchasing this sub box for your truck. The speaker I went with for this sub box was the Rockford Fosgate P3SD2-10 Punch P3S 10-Inch 2-Ohm DVC Shallow Subwoofer.

This fit perfectly in my quad cab Lone Star edition 2005 Dodge Ram. The sub-woofer I used was a Pioneer shallow mount and the seat kind of rests on top of the lip of the sub-woofer. I have not noticed any difference in sound with the seat up versus down and I don't think it is a problem The audio shop would have wanted a few hundred bucks to build this box so it is a great deal.Installing was also very easy, it helps if you unscrew the side panel where the leads come out.
