The bracket is mostly plastic but it works as intended and is a quick cheap replacement. There is metal on the important parts so overall it's cheap but effective.

I broke the original bracket when relocating it to another shower. After some research on the replacement part number, I purchased this, and it worked perfectly.

Replaced a cracked shower arm and the new piece fits exactly the same and does not leak. Recommended if you don't want to replace the entire system.

As other reviewers noted this bracket is plastic, not metal, but that's why it's so cheap. When mine arrived I thought it was a non-swivel version but it turns out that the swivel joint is just really really stiff. That's good if you plan to set it in one position and then leave it, but not good if multiple people are using the shower and wanting to adjust the position of the hand shower. It's REALLY stiff. But in general I'm happy and the bracket looks nice and it holds my American Standard shower hose (attached to a Delta hand shower) better than the Delta bracket does.

Luckily I was able to locate this bracket by looking at images of similar items because most people don't keep model information on this type of stuff. I took a chance and ordered it. It was exactly what I needed. It saved me from having to purchase the entire shower kit.

I bought this shower arm bracket because it was described online (many sites) as being made of metal. Some of the sites said it has metal fittings and a metal ball joint. None of the sites said it was plastic. This bracket costs much less than the heavy, solid metal brackets available online from Zoe Industries and Jaclo (which are about $50). This one was about $11 plus shipping. The bracket arrived. It looks nice, but It's very light. The threaded fittings do seem to be metal, but the part of the bracket which actually holds the shower head is very lightweight. The holder feels like it is plastic. If it is metal, it is not solid and it is so thin that I can compress the sides inward easily with my fingers. It definitely is not what I expected. The holder is the most important part to me because the plastic holders break so quickly. I would return it, but I'd have to pay $5 or more to ship it back...so I'll keep it and just stick with plastic ones that are only a few dollars.

I was amazed that this fit perfectly since I chose it strictly by the image having no idea who made the part I was trying to replace. It was delivered very quickly. The ball joint doesn't swivel as much as I expected it to but it's sufficient for my needs. I am very pleased.
