This is the nicest mailbox I have ever seen! I absolutely love it! It's bigger than I expected which is great.

This purchase is my second and has a tremendous sentimental value. Over 15 years ago, my husband and I visited Pennsylvania the Amish county, saw their marvelous craftsmanship, purchased this exact mailbox and he installed it in front of our house. After over 15 years of weathering the elements, the mailbox started to deteriorate. My husband has since passed away. When I saw that Amazon was offering the exact same mailbox, I immediately ordered it. My son installed it and now I still have a wonderful memory of our visit. One recommendation is to apply a wood stain sealer to roof to prolong durability.

We live in a neighborhood where all the mailboxes were custom built to look the same, only different colors. The problem is as they’ve aged or gotten hot and destroyed there’s no one around to make new ones. I needed to find something close to what the neighborhood has and I am so impressed with this mailbox. I have a Spanish style home with a burnt orange color but the ran color of the box looks amazing with the house. I dare to say I like this mailbox more than the custom ones we had made. The only suggestion I have to the crafter would be to make the flag out of wood as well and don’t use plastic. I’d purchase this again in a heartbeat. It comes in different colors and slightly different variations. Also an incredible price versus other wooden hand crafted boxes that were similar. They were hundreds of dollars more and not near as pretty as this one.

So happy with this mailbox! I bought it for my parents to actually make it into a small scale replica of their house, which I was able to do with dollhouse windows/doors/etc. but its construction was beautiful and very sturdy. Door locks tightly into place, the flag is mounted well. I can see it lasting my parents for years to come.

This is the cutest mailbox that I’ve ever seen! I have already had many compliments on it. It feels very sturdy and heavy! Looks much bigger in person than it does online and it’s heavy. My only complaint is that there were no pre drilled holes for my mounting plate so I had to make some pilot holes in order for my post plate to go on. But other than that, no complaints. I seen some reviews about the advertising on the front. Mine was placed on the backside so it’s not visible from street view. And I also checked the roof to make sure it was secure because I seen reviews that they were loose. Mine were on there good and roof didn’t budge. Hope this helps!

I received the Mail Box Wednesday, it is huge, a little larger than my current mail box but it is well made, feels very strong and sturdy. I ordered the green and it is very attractive, The paint is a beautiful medium green well painted good coverage of the paint, the cedar roof is beautiful feels strong. I have not installed it yet, I need someone to help me with that, so I have called my Handyman services to put it up for me next week. The mailbox came in a well made box, well packaged and supported, also came with no mounting material as stated in the prior reviews, hopefully will fit my current post. No complaints so far. so good. Thank you Amazon.

Beautifully constructed of all wood components in and out( except the flag and pull). Built from 'scratch' - not a plastic mail box with a wood covering like some sort of"mailbox wellington".This is not a traditional mount where you insert a cut piece of 1 x6 trim in a false bottom and screw in from the sides. The bottom of this is completely flat so the box will sit on whatever 'stabilizer' board you choose to mount it on.Many ways to skin this cat, but since I have more power tools than Tim the Tool Man, I first mounted my stabilizer board to my wooden post, then used my handy, angle power drill to drive deck screws through the interior bottom of the box and stabilizer board.Make sure you pull the front of the box forward of your fixed stabilizer board about 11/2", to allow the door to swing down unobstructed. I drove six deck screws evenly spaced on the interior floor mid-line in about 5 minutes.I cut out pieces of C2 3M reflective tape to insert in some of the window panes. That way it looks like someone is home at night in case any wise guys have any ' ideas'.
