I bought this as a gift for a girlfriend whom I also purchased "sand" from one of those popular mall stores that has everything you want and nothing you need...but it didn't come w/a box. This shadow box is nicely constructed, has a good, deep well for playing w/her sand as a desktop distraction, and it arrived quickly & in great shape. It would most definitely make a nice shadow box for arts and crafts, and it's raw material would offer plenty of design options to customize it to your liking, or leave natural for a simple but clean look.
