Got this for a four year old while it was on sale for $20. The average price of this item seems to hover around $40 and for that amount I think you could look elsewhere. The scope itself is all plastic, the LED light mechanism is pretty flimsy, and the focusing the scope, while not impossible, isn't the easiest and if a toddler is using it they may need help since some of the slides take some exact dialing to see.Overall, if you can find this for $20 and it's for a child whose just looking for some fun then this kit will work great as you don't care what they do to the device. If this kit is supposed to goto a kid whose taking a topic seriously where they need a real microscope then you'd help yourself by buying a much nicer scope.

Ein gutes Mikroskop zum Einstieg und vom Preis Leistungsverhältnis eine angemessene Qualität.Die Anleitung erster Kritik Punkt, ist nur auf Englisch was jedoch in meinem Fall nicht weiter schlimm war.Jedoch sind die Komponenten für das mikroskopieren attrappen und somit nutzlos.Bei dem Skalpell ist es für ein Kinderprodukt noch nachvollziehbar bei der Pipette jedoch ging der Schuss nach hinten los.Da man dadurch keine eigenen Objektträger anfertigen kann und auch die experimente nicht durchführen kann ohne nachkaufen zu müssen ist das Set nicht voll nutzbar.

- Delivered on time and easy to set-up- First time with 8 year old and starter guide/prepared stills were easy to follow and stoke excitement levels- Only 4 prepared slides (we separately purchased a set of 20+ prepared slide)- Some general advice given on future experimenting, but suggest complimenting this set with a book of experiments for young minds

No conseguíamos ver nada claro por más que cambiamos las lentes. Viene muy completo pero creo que tenía un fallo. Me puse en contacto con el vendedor y me dijo que era un juguete y que no podía tener la nitidez de uno de verdad, pero por más que probamos con distintas cosas para ver, siempre salían como unas manchas.No tuve ningún problema a la hora de hacer la devolución, super rápido, me lo vinieron a recoger y enseguida me devolvieron el importe

Bought this for my nephew and he LOVES it! It has so many pieces and gadgets that he can use to make his own slides it seems like he is always finding stuff to look at with his microscope. Great product for a great price!

This is a first time microscope for my 8 year old. She loves it and is fascinated by it. It came with some beginner items like slides, petri dish, scalpel, etc. to spark their interest. However the tweezers are huge, plastic and useless for small items. The microscope magnifies pretty well but it's hard to get things to magnify at the 1200X. Also, we tried to hatch the brine shrimp and they didn't hatch. We think the eggs may have been too old. The booklet says they won't hatch if over 5 years old. Oh well. We still have had plenty of fun checking out leaves and such. I can see that we will have to buy a better one in a year or 2 as my daughter gets older. For the price this works for now just fine.
