Blade does get hot and I still have to rotate the blades to prevent burning my dogs skin from the temp. But the blades stay sharp, don't ever really need to be sent to the shop and besides cleaning and pulling after use, are essentially maintenence free in my opinion.

These clippers work really well and even cut through several mats in my Shih Tzu. The ceramic blade stays cooler longer than the steel blades so you can get more done in a shorter amount of time. I still had to use the coolant spray, but not as often. The 7mm was just the length I wanted for a summer cut.

Needed this size for grooming my labradoodles when received did not get the ceramic edge as pictured but just the regular 7f blade.

We ordered this blade because of a suggestion from a Judge. The blade was a nice thick quality metal. The blade was very sharp. We clipped 5 goats and the blade was still sharp. Everyone needs this in there tack box.
