Perfect little blade replacements to avoid having to get blade sharpened as often came well packaged very sharp. That’s all A-5 style clippers.

Ceramic blades tend to be sharper and remain sharp longer than steel blades. The drawbacks are that it can't be sharpened (in any practical way) and more importantly, ceramic is a brittle, crystalline material. It snaps pretty easily if you give it a firm tap. These ceramic cutters have unusually narrow, fine teeth which means that there's a greater chance that you're going to break a tooth off.In the photo I show what I consider to be a "normal" 18 tooth ceramic cutter on the left and this replacement cutter on the right. You can see how fragile looking these teeth are.Although these cutters cut well, I expect that I'll be breaking off a tooth long before the ceramic dulls (microchips).
