This thing is spot-on. I was the sous chef for one of the first restaurants to use a sous vide cooker in the US. I advise people to get nothing less than the 1200w unit. Don’t go cheap, you’ll regret it. ;-)

I can understand the poor reviews this has received. It arrived in good condition, but I can’t believe that it had been refurbished, beyond being put back in its box. It took three attempts at resetting the unit so that I could configure the wifi. I would have expected that they would have at least reset the unit.Beyond the setup hassles, it works great, and I use it at least twice a week. It heats the water much more quickly than my old Sansaire device. I was unimpressed by the app, and I don’t use it.

Had a very poor Amazon experience with this product. First time, they sent the wrong model (non-pro version, and with a UK plug not a USA plug). Second time Amazon sent a replacement, the touch screen did not work. Third time Amazon sent a replacement, the touch screen would sporadically stop and start working. The quality control for Amazon Warehouse needs work; clearly these products weren't carefully tested for functionality beyond "do they turn on". These are defects that were obvious within 1-2 minutes of use.

Opened it brand new. Would not detect water. When I finally got it to detect the water level by overfilling it it would not heat the water but did circulate. Also would not connect to WIFI.

Unless you have European plugs in your house, do not order this product. I'm sure it is a wonderful product that works very well, but we are unable to use it because it is the European Model, in USA packaging. Had to return it twice for the same reason, and the second time the Anova Precision Cooker arrived, instead of the Anova Precision Pro Cooker. Seems to be an error in processing, since Amazon is usually on the ball.

Wouldn't heat so tried to update it and it would get stuck in this mode.
