Works great for my cat’s extra thick fur. She loves for me to brush her with it.

So I know this is for combing dogs and removing the excess fur off their coats. I do NOT have a dog - I have 2 cats and I do comb them regularly with a cat comb. So why do I need this? Well I use it to comb the fur off of their cat trees! I saw this hack on a youtube video and tried it for myself. It really works. This easily removes fur from their cat condo and carpeted scratch posts. Try it and you'll never go back.

My English Cocker Spaniel has very fine fur that mats easily. She also is sensitive to how our grooming time goes. Not one to endure long sessions at a groomer’s , so I do short sessions frequently. So happy she loves the feel of this slicker brush and lies back on the floor to feel itmassaging her skin. Very happy to be brushed and am amazed at all the undercoat the brush picks up. Also works great with mats, a slow and easy brushing which she tolerates well. Much better than trying to scissor cut the mats. Very pleased it has added to making our grooming times pleasant and productive. Will definitely be ordering again!! Thank you!

We have been using this tool (medium/large size) for a little over a year now with our dog and two cats. It is simple and easy to use. I don’t use any other brushes anymore. In general, you should know the following:(1) This is appropriate for dogs and cats that shed their fur (so don't use this if you have an animal that does not shed). Use of the tool has significantly reduced the amount of shedding time, and it gently stimulates their skin and makes their fur shiny.(2) This tool does not "cut" fur and it is not sharp--This tool simply gently removes (a lot of) fur that is about to shed.(3) You use it like a regular brush in the gently in the direction of their hair growth. The blade captures the removed fur and it stays there until you remove it by hand. I have not seen a significant amount of fur flying around when I use it or remove fur (unlike standard pet brushes). My Dog is a Sheppard/lab/terrier mix with a double coat and she seems to have 3 major shedding cycles (short fuzzy undercoat, longer winter outercoat, longer summer outercoat). The tool will pick up each type of fur (depending on what is shedding). She really enjoys being brushed with this tool and there is so much less fur around (clothes/house/car etc)Cats: Both of my cats have short hair and used to shed (and get hairballs) the entire summer when we used a normal cat brush (which neither of them enjoyed). I found that by using this tool instead, it removed the shedding hair so efficiently that they actually stopped shedding (and getting hairballs) pretty quickly. My 9 year old, 18lb lean, friendly cat loves being brushed with this tool (purrs during). My older scaredy-cat shrunk a bit, didn't like it too long last night so I just ordered the smaller size tool hoping this works better for both of us.

I have a Corgi and anybody that has ever been around Corgis knows that they shed a TON!!! I used to use a regular dog grooming brush on him and even though it always had hair in it at the end of brushing him, I couldn't tell a difference with his shedding around the house. I even brushed him daily with no luck. I researched and Googled everything I could to try and find some sort of resolution. Everywhere I looked I kept seeing this Magic pro deshedding brush. I really didn't want to spend that much on a dog brush but at this point I was desperate! I broke down and bought the brush and I don't know why I didn't do it sooner!! This brush is AHHH-MAZING!! It not only gets out the shedding hair, it also gets out the undercoat (which my dog really seems to appreciate when he still has his winter coat and we have an extremely hot day here in the south!) I will actually have a pile of dog hair the same size as my dog when I'm done! I will say that the first few times that you use this brush, your dog might not like it because the teeth are so close together on the brush that it may pull a little more than their regular brush that they are used to. I found an easy fix for this. Lots of praise and love while brushing along with some treats!! This really only takes a couple of times though before they are used to it. I do not feel like it is pulling out their hair. It is just different from what they are used to. After a couple of times, my dog seemed to enjoy it. You do need to be mindful of the sharp edges on it though. You can't just press very hard because It may end up scratching your pooch. Just brush their hair like you would yours. Overall, this brush has been a lifesaver!!!

Good but smaller than I thought . Not sure if dimensions were stated. Really could use a bigger one but it does work inky takes more time.

Used it on my black hair'd 6 month old kitten who recently started shedding a lot. She hates the standard fine bristle brush plus that style doesn't seem to capture a lot of her fine hair. So I was looking for something different when I came across this style of deshedding brush.I read a bunch of reviews on multiple brands and they all seem to be positive with a lot of owners stating that their pets seem to take to the deshedding brush better than they do to a typical brush/comb.All the different brands I saw, all seem to do the same thing and appear to be built the almost identical. From the pictures it looks like the same blades used on hair clippers and once I received mine, I can now tell you that it might just be exactly that. These style blades are very sharp at the end and could easily cause injury to your pet if you were careless. To give you an idea, you could technically use the blade to cut a steak... but hell this is still better than this other brush I've seen on Amazon which is literally a hack saw blade pressed into some wood!I still had to wait for my cat to be calm and basically napping when I brushed her, but once I started and she was aware of what was going on, she really didn't seem to mind all that much. This was a big difference from when I use her other fine bristle brush. After a few minutes of combing, I could see the comb capturing a bunch of hair which is a positive sign. You can also hear it cutting some hair though... or at least snagging them and pulling them off. It does seem to clean up most of the loose hair and I assume that it will only have enough grip to pull off hair that is only already about to fall off... but it doesn't do "amazing" on fine. There's still a bunch of loose hairs all over her but for the most part, it seems to do the trick. I'll keep brushing her but I do see myself doing a bit of post cleanup on her coat after brushing since this doesn't seem to work 90% on fine hair. All these photos people are posting is most likely half loose hair and half hair that was trimmed or snagged off. Be gentle and let the brush do most of the work, don't force it or put much pressure downward on the handle and use a little consideration and think about how it is possible to brush out a pile of "shedding" hair almost the same size of your pet. It IS cutting the hair.
