This is an excellent unit with the clear advantage that it is powered by the computer and has no battery to wear out and need replacement. It does not have EQ but you can use the computer's EQ. However, after some experimentation, I found it best to turn off the computer's EQ and just let the unit operate as is. It sounds excellent without any adjustment. I prefer the sound of this unit over other similar ones that I have tried. Of course this is a subjective matter and partly dependent on the source material.

This little product packs a big punch. As a full blown audio nerd I love having the best quality sound I can possibly attain in any given setting. This little DAC/AMP allows me to utilize some of my nicer sets of headphones paired with my iPhone and other devices to achieve the best quality sound while maintaining mobility. While I prefer to sit at my own studio computer and utilize monitors or nicer headphones when I doing some serious listening, having the ability to still get incredibly high quality audio while streaming or listening to files on my phone is pretty incredible. Antelope Audio already makes incredible audio products for the studio, but for the discerning listener on the go this is a must have product. I know that most people use some version of Bluetooth headphones these days, but if you really want the best audio in your ears while listening to music then buy this and use your favorite wired headphones coupled with it. My only con is that it’s only an 1/8” output for headphones so I have to use a converter for some of my higher end headphones but it’s a minor thing for the sonic quality that’s achieved. Boosted presence and warmth are noticed throughout the frequency spectrum with balanced highs and lows and punchy but not harsh mid range frequencies. After using this I’m going to have a hard time using AirPods again.

This is a product that I have been looking for, for a while now! I could tell a pretty massive difference in the volume and just over all clarity! It definitely allows you to hear things in songs that you’d likely have trouble hearing without the ZEO. 10 out of 10 recommend this product! I have tried numerous amounts of Bluetooth and wired headphones in an effort to find the volume and quality audio that the ZEO provides. While this does require the use of cabled headphones, I would much rather have to plug a set of headphones in, to have the sonic experience that the ZEO provides. Shout out to Antelope Audio for creating a product that I have been wishing for!

I have ifi go link, creative G3 and schiit Modi 3+/Heresy stack. My headphones are HD600, DT770-80ohm, Tygr300R and MDR-V6. I use Qobuz on PC and phone and play game on PC.ZEO makes good sound, punchy bass and good detail. It has the power to drive HD600. I'm satisfied by its sound and $99 price. I wish to own it. I like to pair ZEO with my DT770 and to have ZEO when traveling. But the first unit I received, it randomly dropout in windows PC. I have Ryzen5000 win10, Ryzen3000 win10 and intel 10gen laptop. All the same. My PCs work perfectly with other DAC/AMPs.The second unit I got, it makes a high pitch/sharp noise when plug into my pixel8. And gaming on PC, I need to relaunch some games a few times to have the game recognize ZEO.I have contacted the official tech support. The staff replied quickly and willingly to help. But this is a driverless device, no much they can do. I tried to change USB/power settings, used different apps and players. Sorry to say I have to return this product.

Sound is good for the now discounted price of $99. Not the best dongle I have but still sounds good. If you're looking for a dongle in this price range, put this on your list. Will sound better than the cheap chifi dongles. It’s like a better apple dongle in terms of signature imo. Nothing particularly stands out about its sound but it does nothing wrong.Quality control could be improved. I’ve been through 3. The first one, I paid msrp. It would not output sound out of ios so I exchanged it for my second one which by then the price dropped to $150. The second one actually worked but then the price dropped yet again a week later to the now $99 so I returned and bought another one again since Amazon doesn’t do price adjustments…This third one has tiny paint defects as shown in photos. I guess its not a big deal but still for a new product, I haven't seen such bad QC before. On the other hand this one sounds slightly better than the 2nd one I have on hand and about to return, same volume same earphones, same song with slightly more detail. Go figure. Placebo? Maybe. But I have them side by side with same everything to compare. Maybe it’s just the QC? Oh well. I don’t feel like exchanging it a 3rd time, I supposed I could return it for good but it sounds great for $99 so I guess it’ll be a backup dongle to my other ones
