These bulbs work as well as others at twice the price. All the more reason to purchase the UV device it is designed for.

I was searching for a 9 Watt UV replacement bulb everywhere. And, this one was an excellent price, and it works fine in my home air cleaning device.

Don't wait until the bulb dies - it won't be doing you any good past 6 months. I only wish they lasted longer! I now keep a spare bulb on hand just in case. UV light is a godsend for aquarium tanks. I threw out the instructions for how to replace this bulb long ago in for my CF-400UV. All you need to do is remove the canister filter top and look for two small screws near the base of the bulb. Get a philips screw driver, remove these two screws, and the panel should lift up. You can then gently remove the glass case, pop the old bulb out, and put the new bulb in. Tighten everything back up and put the top back on. It takes less than 10 minutes!
