Well, technically no radio stand like this can be perfect for the car. The newer radios and batteries have USB C charging built in, but mine are older than that.I keep spare batteries, but if I do overnight field operations or during another power outage like Hurricane Helene brought, I can plug this into my power station to charge. Additionally, I'm building a solar station just for charging all of my rechargeable devices, so this will be perfect.The voltage for the charger is 12.8 so I can also use the plug for using power for other devices that have the same barrel connector.The base is also the same base used by the 110v charger, so I have a back up either way.
