IT SEEMED VERY CHEAPLY MADE AND I EXPECTED IT TO BREAK/FAIL QUICKLY. BUT I HAVE BEEN PLEASANTLY SURPRISED. I'VE OPENED APPROXIMATELY 10 BOTTLES OF WINE WITH IT AND SO FAR SO GOOD.

I love this wine opener! If you have ever struggled with the twisting motion needed for the old standard “wing” type opener or bartender’s corkscrew, this one is for you!First, the foil cutter is the best I’ve ever used, and does the job of removing the top foil easily. Then, all you do is pull the lever up, pop the opener over the bottle, squeeze & push the lever down and pull back up in one easy motion. It is so much faster than any type that you have to screw in manually, plus saves my wrists. And the little red wine glass silhouette makes a cute addition to the overall look.I thought I had an issue with it at first and contacted the company. They responded immediately and sent a replacement right out…superior customer service! I will definitely be gifting these to all my wine drinking friends!

As a former wine drinker and bartender (college years job), I've opened a fair number of wine bottles. I was taught how to open a bottle of wine by a long time bar owner and friend. I carried my own wine corkscrew in my apron.This item seems to have all the features for an amateur to be successful in opening the wine without any cork bits gumming up the job. The package contains a foil cutter and the cork remover device. You flip the corkscrew arm up, clamp it on the bottle and while holding it securely, you lower the arm which inserts the screw into the cork; lift the arm up again and the cork pulls out of the bottle. Clever.

I really like this wine opener. It works great and doesn’t need to be recharged and i don’t need a charger take takes up space that I don’t have.
