Own three others of this same brand. I bought this as a back up, but haven't had to use it yet. Happy customer of Appion products.

High quality tool for the job. Got the 5/16" and the 1/4" one so I can keep the schrader in a vacuum while vacuuming from the side port via the other Appion.

Excellent product. It’s not the cheapest and for good reason. Machining seems to be high quality and precise.

Changed my life for the better. I hate Appion pumps but this thing ROCKS. This is the only tool I have used that actually holds up in a vacuum. My other core removal tools are for positive pressure only, as I keep these Appions in my tool box and baby them - they don't come out unless there is a vacuum going on.If I could criticize the tool there is one beef I have with it (and with all core removal tools in general). Do you recall seeing or owning a screw driver that has a loose spinning wheel at the top of it, so that you can apply lots of downward force but still turn the screwdriver under that force? This tool needs that. When putting a core back in, it's a hassle to push against the pressure using only your finger tips and turning at the same time. Do you hear me Appion? Make your great tool even better.

You can't buy a better valve core tool. It works perfectly for vac'ing and valving off your vac to see where you're at too. Best bet is to remove the valve core while you're at it. It will vac faster. Rated to 20 microns is pretty hardcore.

These are the best! For pulling a vacuum I use nothing else. They are the only vacuum rated valve core removers I know of.I use 2 of these and attached a 1/2 hose with 1/4 inch connector at the very back where the shadier comes out. The other end of the hose has I use has a 3/8 connection that I connect directly to a TEE on my vacuum pump. I do the same on the other side. No Gauges no restriction. The 1/4 side port on the suction side i connect directly to my micron gauge and the 1/4 side port attached to the liquid line connects to a hose to my refrigerant bottle. This way when I pull a vacuum I pull it all the way to the refrigerant tank. When my vacuum is complete I close the ball valves, and open my refrigerate tank to add positive pressure to the system without contamination. Now I can replace my shredder valves with positive pressure on the unit.I can pull a vacuum bellow 300 microns in 15 minutes on a complete 3 ton system this way!
