Bought this because the thermostat needed to be replaced in my jaguar. tried just replacing the thermostat, but couldn’t get the right one so I had to buy the whole housing.. this is the second one I bought in a year. The first one started leaking. so not that impressed with the part, but it was cheap enough and it’s fixed now.

This part looks like good quality but does not fit Vanden Plas 4.2. It would require too much modifications to the electrical and different pipes to fit.

Even though Amazon (for the second time) shows that this part fit my 05 Jag Vanden Plas, it did not; not even close. Ports were at the wrong angle. Also, the description in the listing also stated that it would fit my vehicle. Ordering auto parts through Amazon has been a real disappointment; most of the parts are incorrectly listed for vehicle compatibility or are of very poor quality with zero or little quality control. it's really hit or miss and overall very disappointing. My advice, even though this sometimes doesn't even work, is go by the image, literally have the car part in your hands, if possible, while ordering. This doesn't fix the terrible quality control of a vast majority of these after market parts sold here, but it'll get you closer to the right part you need.
