I probably could’ve installed these myself, but I prefer not to do that. While the car was in for an inspection, I paid the Shop 20 bucks to install them for me. They are great. The original hydraulics simply had lost all their power. Not surprising, given it was a 12-year-old Acura TL. Definitely worth getting so the hood doesn’t keep falling down on your head, or you don’t have to prop it up with the top of your head.😂😂

Replaced hood shocks on 2007 Acura TL. Took less than 5 minutes to replace both. They're very strong and actually lift the hood as I'm raising it.For those who've never installed these, you don't need to remove the clips on the new shocks. You only need to loosen the clips on the old ones (pry w/small screwdriver) so that you can pull them off of the ball socket. Just align and push the new shocks/struts onto the ball socket and they will click firmy into place. Don't let the dealership rip you off, purchase and do this yourself.
