I installed the lock today, it is not a small job, it is a 4 or 5 hour job since you have to remove all the rivets, when I put everything back it worked 5 or 6 times and stopped working now it is time to disassemble everything again for once defective part, do not waste your time installing that part because of the work it takes, it is better to buy something of quality even if it costs a little more

The reason I bought was because my door lock would not lock or unlock manually while the door was open and because the power remote lock had gone out as well. Replaced with this I can now use the remote to unlock and lock door while it is shut(no more having to open back door to reach in and lock/unlock) but this one before I tested it I had already drilled my rivets out and all the bs to go with getting the old one out. When I finally tested it before I connected everything to it it would not lock or unlock manually, Uh-oh, well maybe it being installed will correct it. NOPE. defective. Does not lock or unlock the mechanism when the door is open manually nor with remote unless shut. Test if u buy before you take your door apart.

*** DO NOT BUY THIS - SAVE YOU MONEY *** You are better off buying an Original Mercedes part used on eBay than this. I had to wait for the installer to be available to do the job. Once broken actuator was replaced with new one and everything was put back together I realize that the new actuator won't lock the door. It bounces. Unfortunately the return windows already passed.

Para mi Mercedes Benz E250 W212 año 2010 funciono bien, solo que la chapa al abrir por dentro queda un poco mas dura pero sin importancia en su funcionamiento.
