I've tried matcha powder before, but without a proper matcha set, I've never before experienced true matcha. This is the perfect set to achieve that true matcha flavor, and I've already become obsessed. If you have an interest in matcha, you NEED a set like this!First, everything comes very carefully packaged in a thick, sturdy box. Everything is set nicely inside thick foam, ensuring that nothing can get damaged during shipment. It comes with everything you need: a bowl, strainer, tea towel, whisk with holder, and stick. Everything is very well-made, and each piece has unique details. I absolutely adore the cat in kimono image on my bowl, and the image looks very well done, like it should stay on there for a long time. I'm very happy with how high quality everything in this set is.The entire back of the box is easy-to-follow instructions, and the matcha is easier to make than I had anticipated. Just two scoops of matcha and a spoonful of local honey, and I've got my daily health drink! I was very surprised to see how much matcha powder doesn't make it through the strainer; no wonder it's always been so hard to make before!Everything is super easy to clean; just rinse it off once you're done and set out to dry. I'm able to quickly make myself a cup of matcha and then get everything cleaned and away in about five minutes.The only problem was the charm on the whisk. While it may be cute, it does dangle too low, and I have to hold it while I'm whisking. I'm planning on just tying another thread a little higher up and using that to anchor the charm in place. Not a big deal. It is a super cute charm.I'm incredibly happy with my new tea set, and I've already begun a daily tea regimen! I can't believe I waited so long to get a formal set!Each piece of this set comes beautifully crafted and well-made. It is absolutely worth the price tag to get something so high quality. I highly recommend this brand.

When I saw this matcha tea set, I was instantly drawn to it. I occasionally drink matcha, but I haven't gotten a matcha set yet for myself. Much to my delight, when the item arrived, it was just as nice as it looked in the picture. The matcha set was packaged in a heavier cardboard box with foam inside. It would make a suitable gift box or for storing. The bowl and the whisk holder are ceramic. The pattern on them of the cats looks like it is a decal. It's firmly applied on the bowl and holder but doesn't look like paint. The listing says it's dishwasher safe, but I will probably choose to handwash this item to preserve the life of the decal. The cat design is adorable. The whisk, the strainer, and the stir are made of bamboo and look to be high-quality. The design on the stir and strainer seems like it was burned on. The cloth has a design on it as well. It was very easy to follow the directions on the box to make some matcha. The tools were easy to use. There was a QR code included with the set that gave me an offer for a free 100g (3.5oz) bag of matcha tea from the brand website. I had to pay shipping which was $6.99, but that price is still cheaper than purchasing a container of matcha in the store. I thought it was a generous offer included with the set.

This comes in a thick & sturdy paperboard box with shaped padding, making this not only easily wrapped if giving as a gift (housewarming, birthday, winter gift-giving holidays, etc.) but also perfect for carefully storing the set when not in use. Fits easily on a shelf.Has a bright & soft fabric mat to place everything on & catch any drips, a matcha tea (or tea latte) cup, sifter to place on top of the cup, spoon/scoop to scoop the matcha powder into the sifter, matcha whisk to combine the matcha & water (& latte ingredients if making a latte) as well as create desired froth, & the whisk stand! The only thing it doesn't have is the matcha/matcha latte ingredients.The very process of making matcha is somewhat ceremonial/ritualistic, & having all of these pieces, including the soft gold cloth, make it even more-so of an occasion or event. A conscious choice to set aside a bit of time for yourself to be calm & enjoy the experience.You sift your matcha so it will mix better. Add hot water & mix/froth with the whisk. For iced matcha tea, add ice. I like to freeze fruit juices, coconut water, coconut milk, or sweetened condensed milk in ice cube or small shaped silicone molds (like for making candies, chocolates, & mints) & use them as my ice for an extra special experience.If you want a matcha latte, there are tons of recipes available online, most are fairly easy & require no special equipment.This set is made well & I like the whimsical designs on the items. Everything is easy to wash, no weird little nooks or crannies to struggle cleaning. I wash & rinse the whisk stand, setting it on a drying towel on the counter, then swish the whisk in my dishwater, as if it were a sink full of tea. Rinse it & set it on its stand & let them airdry fully.Absolutely love this set!
