This matcha tea set includes a ceramic bowl and whisk holder, along with a basic bamboo whisk and scoop. I'll note that it is missing a sifter compared to similar sets, and I'd highly recommend getting one (they're very inexpensive; the one in my first photo was purchased separately). I've noticed a big difference in it smoothing out clumps compared to brewing with unsifted powder. I do wish the set included written instructions for care and use, though basic instructions are provided in the product description here. The whisk is the biggest drawback in this set, it's just a basic one. It was sealed tightly in a plastic tube to protect it, but had a silica packet wedged in between the curled tines and the tube. I left it to soak in hot water for a while and then placed in on the stand to dry and the tines mostly worked their way back, though some are curled at an angle and some stick out farther. Not the end of the world, and it still whisks up matcha nicely.Overall this is a lovely set and the glazed blue and black has a very nice handmade aesthetic to it. The whisk holder I received is not completely true to the listing's pictures; I'm not sure if it's a flaw but there's a bronzish strip around the circumference where the black meets the blue, and there are what look like bare spots if you look closely. It doesn't really match the bowl, but it still looks nice. I primarily chose this set because the look is quite distinct from the other sets I've seen while shopping around, this is more my aesthetic than a plain white or light green one!

After years of sugary café matcha, this set helped me appreciate real ceremonial-grade tea. The whisk aerates the powder perfectly, and the bowl’s glaze prevents bitter residue buildup. I use the scoop to measure exact portions – no more guessing! Pro tip: Warm the bowl first for extra-frothy results. It’s become my zen moment every morning. Worth every penny

My sister is a big tea drinker, so I got this to use while she is visiting and it's been great. She showed me how to use it, but I mostly just let her take care of the preparation so I can just sit back and enjoy the fruits of her labor. The set itself is a really nice soft minty green and feels well made. The whisk is also substantial and has the nice side piece that helps it keep its shape.Once my sister leaves, I'll attempt to use this myself, but for now I'll just admire it from afar and enjoy the matcha she's been brewing for me.
