I absolutely love this light! The build quality is fantastic, the RGBWW color range is impressive, and the pixel-mapping features open up so many creative possibilities. That said, there are definitely cheaper alternatives out there. However, I liked it enough that I still ended up buying two! If you’re looking for top-notch performance and features, this is a great choice—even if it costs a bit more.

I purchased the Aputure MT Pro RGBWW Mini Tube Light, and straight out of the box, it will not charge. I’ve tried using the included Type-C cable as well as several other high-quality Type-C cables and power bricks, but nothing works. The light functions fine with the initial charge it came with, but I can’t recharge it at all.To add to the frustration, I’m currently outside the U.S. and don’t have access to UPS or Whole Foods drop-off locations. I do have access to other shipping providers and have asked Amazon for a simple return shipping address so I can send the item back, but despite multiple requests, I’ve only been directed to drop off the return at locations I can't use.I also reached out to Aputure directly via email about the charging issue and have yet to receive any response from them.I’ve always trusted Aputure products, but dealing with a defective unit and an unhelpful return process, both from Amazon and Aputure, has been very frustrating. I just want a straightforward solution to return or exchange this brand-new, non-functional product.

Perfect light for backlighting, fill light or practical light. Build quality is, as usual for Aputure, very sturdy. And the 1’ size is perfect in many situations. The magnets on the back are strong and the supplied grid is perfect. Will bring this to shoot anywhere. Battery life is around 2 hrs on a full charge- perfect for run and gun.

Got this light wand on the recommendation from a famous YouTuber. It's for my wife, who wanted to look better on her Zoom calls. It worked 100%. Very value friendly for looking profession on a Zoom call. Sure, you can live without it, but why would you want to?

To put it simply, these lights are absolutely amazing. Hands down. But, here's the two problems with them.UPDATE:It turns out I didn't have the latest firmware update. In order to get it you nee the Sidus Link app. Once you have the firmware update, all the problems I talk about below are solved. 11/10 Stars!-----------------------------------------------------------Problems-----------------------------------------------------------Problem 1)When they are plugged in/charging, they automatically change to full brightness mode. If you try to manually adjust their brightness on the device itself with the scroll wheel, it will shortly revert to 100% brightness. And if you try to adjust the brightness via the Sidus Link mobile app, they still will revert to 100% brightness. This is actually very frustrating because, at least for my use-case, it's more convenient for me to always have them plugged. I obviously have zero visibility into what the reasoning behind this functionality is, unless of course it's a bug. And if it's a bug, I would like to think that it can be fixed through some sort of firmware update that could be deployed through the Sidus Link mobile app. BUT, that's an if. I have no idea if that would be possible.Problem 2)I'm not entirely sure how to categorize this problem, so let me describe what happens:I've noticed that when I have my lights turned on while charging for prolonged periods of time (such as 7 hours), they eventually start to flickering. If allowed to continue, they will eventually turn off. Now, when this happens, I've found that the plastic casing of the lights (not the lens) is VERY warm, if not hot. Secondly, the battery indicator also displays 100%. And when I turn it off after it starts flickering, the battery indicator will then display 0%.So, it's hard to say if this is an overheating issue or a charging issue. Given the first problem (with full brightness while charging) I would assume this is a charging issue and not an overheating issue. But, again, I have no idea. However, assuming these lights can be updated via the Sidus Link mobile app to fix the first problem, then I would like to believe that the second problem can be as well.-----------------------------------------------------------Conclusion-----------------------------------------------------------Because of these issues, I'm giving it 3/5 stars. If these issues persist in a continually worsening way, I'll update my review (not to mention as ask for a refund lol)But, if Aputure is able to resolve these issues then I'll bump the rating up to 5/5 as well as update the review with a bunch happy words! :D
