This LED aquarium light is a significant upgrade for small to medium fish tanks as usually the included light units for such tanks provide way below the optimal level and quality of light. With its 24/7 mode, it mimics a natural day-night cycle, creating a healthy environment for fish and plants. The DIY mode lets you customize brightness and colours, while the adjustable timer and memory function make it super convenient. The clip-on design ensures easy installation, and its IP68 waterproof rating adds durability. A great choice for aquarium enthusiasts who want a vibrant, well-lit tank with customizable lighting options!

I'm putting together a paludarium project. I'd picked this light up for a different project but ended up pivoting. I'm using it over a 32G rack that will be set up as a paludarium. I wish I'd have gone with the larger light for this project, but again, it want intended to be used on a tank this size. That being said, it's quite bright and the spectrum is pleasant. The mount is solid and attaches easily. It came with the typical in line controller to adjust brightness and period. Currently I'm running it at 12 hrs, but will probably dial back. Overall I'm very pleased. Once everything starts to grow in I'm sure I'll have to put on a larger lamp, but for the startup it works very well.

I have a lot of Aqqa equipment for the aquarium and have found it effective and reliable. This light gives a great first impression and has a lot of excellent functionality. It is robust and well made, metal stand and top.Pros:1. Well made, metal arm and casing. It feels like a very substantial light.2. I like the remote a lot. To use the 24 hour feature you just keep clicking the 24hr button until you get to you time zone and it is done. Very easy. Then the light goes from dawn to dusk. My old light is on or off which spooks the fish when it changes.3. Decent range of adjustment up down and forward.4. Lots of options for colours and ways of lighting.Cons:1. The clamp that attaches it to the tank is huge. As a result I can't get my glass lid back on. This is a deal breaker for me.2. I have a 60cm tank and the light is small on it. It covers the middle third and the driftwood obscures the light.3. The forward and backward adjustment of the light is again a problem on my 90L tank. The light only goes forward to the rear quarter of the tank, before running out of rail. This means the light is illuminating the sump more than the tank.4. If you run the day/night cycle for all but a few hours in the middle of the day the light is quite dark so looks off when it's sunny outside.5. It looks a little industrial with the wire running along and the screw holes visible. For me the size of the clamp, the throw of the light and how little of my aquarium it covers means it's not ideal for me. It would be better on a smaller aquarium for sure, and make sure your lid can accommodate the very large clamp.

Really nicely made light, all metal casing, solid metal stand, nice metal bolts. I have a few Aqqa products and they've all been great and this is up there with them too. I use the 18w on a 150L tank and although it isn't the full length, it puts out enough light for the whole tank easily. The 24h cycle is ideal, I could not use a light without it these days and have all my tanks set up with a cycle. You can't really program it or anything like some bluetooth lights, but it sets up a basic 24h pattern and it works just fine. Overall if you're looking for a very well built, nice looking light for an aquarium up to about a metre in length this is great. There is a little bit of assembly required, but you don't need any tools, it's only 4 bolts and you cannot actually go wrong, so it's very simple. Looks good, works great, has a 24h cycle and a sturdy stand. Excellent stuff.

AQQA LED Aquarium Light 18W, 24/7 Mode Clip-on Fish Tank Light, DIY Mode Full Spectrum Aquarium Plant Lights, Adjustable Timer/Brightness with Memory Function, IP68 Waterproof for 45-60cm Fish Tank.Works as above and best for frameless tanks. Always leave some room for fish that jump though. The inline control is a bit fiddly for big hands. The 24/7 mode is ideal for a quick set-up although you'll have to start it at the present time to work correctly.

I got this light for a standard 10 gallon planted aquarium.Assembly was easy, instructions were clear and the build quality is good. The main bracelet and light are metal, the connector to hang it is plastic but solid. It comes with wire organizers you can adhear to the tank to organize the wire nicely. This is an unexpected feature but very nice. The light is bright but can be dimmed to multiple levels. The 24/7 cycle is very good and provides many different combinations of reds, oranges, blues and white. You can also set it at your own custom color and timing.I have two complaints and are my reasoning for 4 stars. First the bracket to hang on the tank forces you to have the adjustable screws on the inside of the tank. They are plastic so it won't harm the tank but they stick out far and are very visible. The second issue is the place you connect the light to the bracket is not centered on the light, it's offset by almost an inch. Neither of these complains take away from the functionality but it's cosmetically distracting.

This LED full-spectrum aquarium light is better than I expected. It has basic, yet functional modes. I found this 18W model to fit my 5-gallon tank perfectly, though I believe it should work well for tanks up to 10 gallons (or more), depending on your tank's dimensions. At full light intensity, it's quite bright and would definitely support robust plant growth. Though a mounting bracket is included, I prefer to hang this light with cables as the tank is in my lower tank rank. The control is actually quite easy to use, although the controller's display might be a little confusing at first. Here's my interpretation of the three different lighting options:Basic On/Off: You can turn the light on or off, and set the color and intensity. Plug the light into a timer socket, and it will turn on and off according to your timer settings.6/10/12 Hour Mode: When setting this mode, an internal timer starts at the point you select the mode and turns the light on for that duration within a 24-hour cycle. So, if you press the 6-hour mode at 10 AM, the lights will turn on for 6 hours, slowly ramping up and down the light intensity during that period, then turn off. The next day, it will automatically repeat.24/7 Mode: This is a preset lighting schedule that simulates sunlight and moonlight within a 24-hour day. The lights are on from 6 AM to 11 PM, with different lighting levels and colors that simulate real day and night light. You'll need to set your current time by selecting one of the preset times listed in the manual.I am currently using it on the 6-hour mode, as I prefer a shorter photoperiod to prevent algae growth, and the light intensity is bright enough to support my plants. I may increase the photoperiod to 10 hours later, but 6 is a good starting point. Also, though the 24/7 mode is nice with all the different lighting periods, I find that the light is on for too long, even at very low intensity after 6 PM. Nevertheless, I am pleasantly surprised by the light's brightness level and functional basic features. I feel that this is a solid light and is priced competitively with other lights offering these features.

I received my two 18v Led model, but one doesn't complete the 24-hour cycle and remains lit.At the end of the last 10 pm cycle, it returns to full light mode, as if it had just been turned on.Is there any way to fix this?

Using this on a 3-gallon rimless fully planted freshwater tank and it’s performing really well. The 24/7 cycle is a nice touch—it mimics natural lighting throughout the day, which helps maintain a stable rhythm for my overly aggressive Betta fish. The DIY mode is also great for dialing in custom settings, and the brightness is impressive for such a compact light like this. The clip-on design feels secure, and the build quality is solid. Love that it’s fully waterproof (IP68 rated) so there’s no worry about splashes. The memory function is handy—it picks up right where it left off even after a power cycle. Overall, this is a reliable and feature-rich option for smaller freshwater or planted tanks.

A little tricky to assemble but got it done. Light is bright but not super bright. Time will tell how plants respond. Good for up to 14 gallons tank. My tank is 15” cube. You would need 2 of them for 20 gallon long tank
