I got this for an aquarium, and it has been not only a space saver but also an outlet saver. And been very pleased with its performance and also the fact that you can dial in the exact number of bubbles you want. Seems very durable and insulation was a breeze.

I have several tanks running sponge filters, and I was getting more than a little irritated by the noise the multiple pumps were generating. I decided to give this a try, figuring it would at least simplify the setup. This is a heavy pump, no way around it. It is also powerful. I was expecting a decrease in power, but that didn't happen -- it actually seems to move the water through the filters better than the original setup. I will be picking up more.

I have well over a dozen aquariums in my house. I was hoping to set this up on a rack to power four tanks each with an air stone and a sponge filter.Since I breed fish, I often need additional air tubes for items such as breeder tanks, egg, tumblers, and sometimes multiple of these items are runningSo I was very excited to get this item and to hook it up.Pros- It is quiet. Much quieter than the blue pumps you get at box stores, but not as quiet as a piston driven air pump.- 5 air outlets- rather compact size for an air pump that puts out this type of pressureCons- all valves are off of one air source within the pump. It does not have independent flow to each outlet.- if one hose falls off, you lose pressure for every other air hose hooked up- the more items hooked up the less pressure you get from each outletNeutral- A bunch of accessories that I don’t like and will never use. So I’m not counting against these items in my review. It contain; Tubing which is quite thin and kinks easy, round ball air stones that I personally don’t like and backflow preventer that are of a low quality- there is a knob on the back of the unit to control how much error is coming out. I feel that this knob is unnecessary as it was having a hard time distributing air across all five outlets. I did run it for a while with a valve on the fifth outlet shut off to get enough pressure where I needed it.I am going to purchase five valves in order to control how much air is coming out of each outlet. It’s going to require some fine-tuning to get even pressure across every stone.I will be using this to control five simple air stones with no other accessories on a row of grow up tanks.

I have 12, or 13?, aquariums, and soon to be nearly doubling that number for breeding tanks; lots of tanks means lots of components, and an aerator that can easily handle 10 or 12 is a definite beast, and a really savvy unit to use. It is a little bit quieter than my 4-port unit, but its noise is mostly vibrations. This unit has a flat base and suction cup feet, so it is always going to be quieter than one on legs. It has some mass, a bulky footprint, so it needs for a little space. 50 bucks is a bit of a bite but compared to the cost of replacing livestock, it earns its price; having the proper stuff for the tasks is a no brainer really, investing here makes $ on the other end when I sell a few fish. This is my 1st piece of kit from this brand, so we'll just have to see how it does for the long haul, but I've no real concerns about that.

It was my bad, but this says it is for up to a 150 gallon tank. I have a 15 gallon tank. Part of my water supply, is behind a wall (Fluval 15 gallon tank, also on Amazon), where my pump and filtration system is, so I had to put one air stone back there, and the other in my main tank. It is still pretty powerful, but it is more manageable (at the lowest possible setting) than before. I will probably change some things to reduce the water flow, but I’m definitely keeping the air pump, because I will likely upgrade tanks one day and I will use it for that instead. This air pump is GREAT for a larger aquarium, but I would definitely get something else for anything under 30 or so gallons.

The unit was very noisy, and did not work at all - no air came out, even after several minutes. I originally gave this unit a 1-star review, because it simply did not work. Then, I got an idea...I opened the unit to see what was going on. Somehow, the internal tubes got disconnected from the outlet ports. Once I reattached them, the pump worked fine, even more than fine. This unit puts out a lot of air. The air adjustment goes from zero (off) to maximum power, which I measured to be 7.0 watts. The lowest setting was about 0.7 or 0.8 watts. This unit pumps a lot of air. If used near maximum, I could see this unit powering even 4 air stones, not just 2.This unit is extremely quiet. I have 2 watt units that make a lot more noise than this unit. The internal pump (pumps?) are mounted on rubber vibration dampers inside the housing. It also has suction cups on the bottom of the unit to keep it from moving around during operation. This is one of the best air units I have seen. It has infinite speed adjustment and the pump is very quiet, even on maximum setting. It also comes with extra input filters, something I have not seen on other units.

This pump is quite strong and certainly can produce a good upward flow from all the bubbles. One thing I would have liked it to have is some valves for closing off some air outlets if I'm not using them. That means I have to use all the outlets (or else all the air will just come out of any unused outlets instead of going in the tank). Otherwise, it's a great value because it includes all the tubing, air stones, and check valves you need.
