I received this free as a promotional offer with my water softener. As far as the install there were no issues. I haven't noticed much of a change as far as water taste, but I don't think I could taste the chlorine before install anyway. It is nice knowing my water is filtered to help with longevity of my new softener though.

I brought this item on Amazon as it looks to be a great deal. I engaged a plumber to install it. Before I installed it, I checked the TDS to be 118 ppm and hot water is 230 ppm. After installation of this device, the TDS for cold is 139 ppm and hot water is 290 ppm. I raised a ticket with the tech support for Aquasure and have done a series of troubleshooting for 2 weeks. I did everything they asked me to. Drained my water heater couple times, ran the whole process several times and tested the water over and over again. The readings are not changed. They show the same all time. They do not want to consider the TDS reading and wanted me to do the strip testing. The strip test showed it as hard water based on the color and they do not want to consider that now. The randomly say the water is 50 ppm without any evidence. When I am not buying their crap and wanted to return the product, they want to pay me only 50% of the product cost. They have not shared a shipping label. This product is quite heavy to ship back. My water got worse and they don't want to replace with another device nor want to refund my money. I had spent countless hours troubleshooting and over $1000 for the plumber to install only to make my water worse. I don't understand how anyone here has a good experience with these guys, it was a pathetic experience for me. I am raising a concern with amazon a-z guarantee and will update on how it goes.

Purchase a water softener and this came with. I wanted a pre-filter anyway as dirt/debris blew the valve on my previous water softener. This is the first one I have ever owned! A little bit of pressure loss from it, but nothing that bothers anyone. The recommendation was to be changed at 6-months or 50K gallons. In my house, 50K gallons is about 9 months. So at the 9-month point, I changed the first filter (easy enough to do with the handy tool they included). See the photo of my first filter, and yes it was white if you look at the sales photo! I couldn't believe (still blows my mind) of what is in the pretreated water from the city! I will be changing this at 6-months, because ewww! I recommend having one of these in EVERY house!

Does the required job, filters and softens the water. Installation wasn’t as easy especially with the bypass valve. It was leaking like a broken faucet the first time until I noticed I had put the metal clip in the wrong place. Trust me, the wrong place was just as obvious and fit perfectly too. The other thing is you’ll have to keep buying their specialized filters every couple of months so it feels like another recurring subscription bill.
