Used this to retrofit a vertical smoker. Fit with no issue, smoker reaches high temperatures with this burner. Better than what came in the smoker originally

I purchased a brand new, full tank of propane for 70 dollars just to run this thing for a powdercoat oven. It will not light. I even use a blowtorch lit, to try and light it, the gas is coming out of ther burner and is lighting where i put the torch flame, but as soon as i move the torch away it goes out, and it will not light the entire ting up at once. Tje ocygen tube then nearly blows up like a bomb when i pull it away. This thing 9is a piecce of junk and i don't know how it has so many good reviews when it flat out will not light up fpor me. I can not give something that is worth nothing but the 2 cents it would get at the scrap yard more than one star. if i could give it zero stars, i would give it zero stars,

Out of the box everythings here. Burner , mounting screw , wrench and regulator. The Burner feels solid and is a heavy cast . I did have to re-tap the screw hole in the bottom . It wouldn't take the screw and I felt like it would have broke the casting if I wrenched on it. It was 1/4" and 20 tap. The other thing is mine wasn't the burner in the picture. The center section has a ring of jets . Everything else is as advertised and is a good value for the price. The oxygen inlet on the end came bent and it would not light. I had to remove the brass valve , spring and washer then put a flathead screwdriver under the center to bend the valve flat again. Once I could choke the air inlet I was able to light and adjust the burner. This feels pretty flimsy and you should take care not to bend it or you'll have to repair like I did.

Was able to easily adapt to the style of turkey fryer we have. Burner has a larger diameter than the original which works very well with the large fryer pot.

I used the burner to replace the one that was in my outdoor cooker. To make it fit, part of the wind shield had to be removed. Not a major issue.
