3 stars because the included blade can cut literally nothing. The blade is useless. I would've preferred it didn't come with a blade at all, because now I have to go out and buy a separate blade anyway. I can't understate how terrible the blade is. The saw itself is alright for the price.

Used this the day I got it to remove a garden hose that wouldn't come off any other way. The shape of the saw made the job a lot easier than it would have been with an ordinary hacksaw. High quality, well-made tool that you'll be glad to add to your toolbox.

This is pitched as designed for clearing obstructions, but i find the greatest benefit is in placing the " bow" portion out of your line of sight of the blade. This really helps keep your cut straight if you are bad at that. I also appreciate the mortise/tenon type of attachment of the parts that make for a rock solid feel. . . I expected the saw to feel loose and rickety , but it does not. It could easily be mistaken for not being adjustable.

Many excellent features, which are as described in the product information available. However, the tensioning mechanism doesn't give you a lot of power or control over the tensioning process. It's basically a fancy wing-nut on a screw, though there is an small extension part that gives you a slight bit of leverage. However, it gets in the way unless it's turned a full 360 degrees. If it's not really tight, you have to try to turn it 360 degrees more, which you probably won't have the strength to do. So, if you're trying to optimize the tension, which a saw like this should allow you to do, you really can't. You'd be better off replacing the fancy wing nut with a regular nut and using a socket wrench to do the tensioning. This seems weird in a product which is otherwise so well thought-out. Probably a 4.5 star rating would be more accurate. If the tensioning were more finely adjustable and gave you more mechanical advantage, it would probably get 5.5 stars!

I don't so many reviews, usually becuase I can't be bothered, but this Hacksaw is F-ing awesome. I had a very difficult project, that needed to be done while inside of a cupboard size space on Wood, PVC, and Copper. This saw is extremely adaptable, and because of that I was able to complete the project even with a few unforseen obstacles that any other saw configuration couldn't pull off (Such as sawing a Copper Pipe sideways though a 2" x 8" opening while avoiding the surrounding conduits, all right next to my face.) Good quality, super robust, and surprisingly solid for having a 4-part tension frame.
